agreed when its new and fresh, nothing better... although I now have an urge to have a 1920's oily rag car...
To be honest an oily rag should be used under any car . I remember my dad brushing on old engine oil on the underside of his cars. They were never rusty just tired when traded them in. Jag53c said:

Don't know how I missed this topic, going back to the start
My car loved being on the rotisserie which Tom Lenthall has, he did the bodyshell for me in the earlier photos posted and also did the repairs in the engine bay, beneath on the floor pan, and put the replacement roof with no sunroof to get everything to a decent standard. Still loads to do but it will be special one day in the future.

It’s surprisingly what is found rotten underneath and then getting all the old underseal muck off to do a quality repair, reseal and then a new coat of anti-chip paint. Also when upside down all the fuel and brake lines can be properly checked for damage. There is also a heat shield that sandwiches between the rear axle and body made of fibre glass that when damp helps rot the area where the rear seat fits. I had mine repaired in stainless steel Edited by Jag53c on Tuesday 6th July 21:32

Sorry no new pictures but should have some shortly when the suspension running gear gets a rebuild ready for the new wheels to be fitted ready for the wings to be widened to suit.
Here’s an old photo so you can see we are ready and waiting to get restoration full steam ahead again shortly.

How do you know my panel gaps are bad When I put new door skins on mine (or when I had them put on by someone else!) I insisted on no filler being used to match up the alignment, hence mine are slightly out, curving in at the bottom corners and hence will always bee slightly out...
It’s a bit time consuming correcting panel gaps but it’s relatively easily done with the correct tools and not using filler. A nice concept to body shell stiffening but climbing over the door threshold tubing is not perfect?

Nice to see the car is getting back to speed although im sure covid is hampering your efforts.
whats the chances of getting some moldings of the lister body kit?
Im about to start on a lister replica in Australia and would love to get some moldings from an original if possible.
Id be willing to pay what its worth
