I keep mentioning whenever these threads pop up, that I'm about to sell my Plus, but never get around to it. It'll happen one day soon!

Now that is a rare beast. Not many +'s around and even fewer Misano ones. The black optics really set it off. You have any more shots of it? Don't think I've ever seen a Misano with black optics. Great choice. She's in my profile.

Nice, definitely need to get the chrome mirrors re-instated on mine.
I got my mirrors wrapped in a silk black which perfectly matches the optics. I don't have many decent pics but will see what I can dig up. Since I've owner her I have yet to hear of another misano + in existence. ecain63 said:
Given that Audi say the C5 box is a 'sealed for life' item doing a fluid change every 8k is crazy. Every 20k is way more than adequate seeing as most people see 80k+ with few box issues.
When i had my C5 RS6 i used to do an engine oil change at every half way point between recommended service intervals. In all honesty it probably made no difference, but i felt better knowing it was done. As for the box, even changing the fluid once in the box life is more than Audi recommend. Every 20k is as often as MRC and Unit20 suggest too and they live and breathe RS's.
Every 8k is bonkers and probably will cause more damage to screw threads etc than anything else.
Its hardly bonkers, you slightly misread my post. Ill be doing a box service every second fluids service which ill be doing at @8k intervals. My first 7k rolled over after 3 months and coincided with needing my brakes done (badly needing done)so I done a full engine oil, brake fluid and gearbox fluid/filter service. I know this means the box is going to get serviced every 16k max but it doesnt exactly get nancied about and im happy to up the service intervals if im using it hard. When i had my C5 RS6 i used to do an engine oil change at every half way point between recommended service intervals. Just as an aside the sealed for life box that commonly fails every 40k maybe needs a bit more love than they think....
Brake flushes was needed after a pistonheads run showed up the braking systems inadequacies....probable main contributing factor...
but the pads were knackered too anyway
leading to this service
and a gallardo brembo GT kit(which im still not convinced about)
and just to add to the daytona flavour

Do your wheels not foul the arches?
Also what's on the top of your windows?
No, h+r race ah flachwerk suspension and 245/30x20 michelin supersports and they dont touch the wings. The old h+r's were normal ones and the bimotos used to rub on the rear. Also what's on the top of your windows?
Heko wind deflectors ive not gotten round to removing since I bought it 4 months ago

Ours was hateful; unreliable, cost a fortune, not particularly put together, unpleasant thrashy ride and not particularly enjoyable to drive.
After 2 years, we threw in the towel and bought an E63 AMG Mercedes - an incomparably superior car.
I'd always say Merc do the best suspension ride and comfort just cannot be beaten. After 2 years, we threw in the towel and bought an E63 AMG Mercedes - an incomparably superior car.
Personally I'd go for a run out model of the W211 E55 K over the E63 based purely on delivery of the power - but they sound amazing (a nice choice to have).
