no it doesn't pop and bang, thats an exhaust sound you're after. This thing just imitates engine noise, think boxer or 5 pot sound

if i can be bothered later ill do a little video while I'm out.
No, No I know that, what I meant was, does the car in general pop and bang? The RS used to leave off a big bang if you caught the revs right, particularly good fun in a tunnel smile

For those leasing the car like myself I got gap insurance today from ala.

They beat my other quote from gap insurance 123 and it was 95.60 for 2 years with £15k extra cover.

Play them off against each other.

Got finance docs through today although still no date for delivery . They are charging £524 more on 1st payment for it then to be refunded by dealer. .. pretty annoyed the broker didn't advise this. .. won't ever use solent vehicle leasing again, they have been very poor. .

Everyone that's not leasing direct through dealer is the same. I'm with CVL and they are doing the same.al Apparently you get the refunded dealer part before they take payment so it's a non issue.

Sorry guys, no pops. no bangs. Just 300bhp in a grown up solid car that blends kinda well with everything else on the road.

If you are after a shouty car you could not have more of a polar opposite with the Golf R. Spend your 6x23 on a 10 year old scooby instead smile

I haven't had this issue. I went through Lings and they've been amazing from a customer service perspective

The basic system is good for this class of car. You can stream via bluetooth from your phone. However, it will not satisfy an audiophile.

Got mine today. Bit miffed at it being driven 340 miles and arriving covered in salt, 40 miles fuel range remaining, average speed 67 mph on the OBC and the delivery driver expecting me to drive him 12 miles or so to the train station. Kind of soured the experience somewhat.

Ordered in Oct,
I received my text yeaterday at 8:46.

Moved onto stage 3,
Tracker shows build-date un-available.

Any ideas to when i should expect delivery?

Ouch. Not impressed. I guess that's one of the perils of leasing.

Hope you take pics so you can hand it back in similar condition in 2 years time.

You need to ask vwcs or dealer the proposed build week.

Hi I'm a newbie here smile am thinking of leasing a golf R. Had a quote from G2L.

6+23 £285.25 inc VAT and metallic paint but only 6k a year. Works out at about £8.4k for the whole contract. Is this a good deal or are better ones out there?

Welcome to the thread and PH smile

That quote...

Is it 3 door or 5 door?
is it manual or DSG ?
Any other options selected?
How much for excess miles?
Does it include maintenance?
Does it include tyre cover?
When is the estimated delivery date?

As above, what spec?

But I think 6k miles is very little as your going to want to do a lot more! How much extra per mile is it?
