6 disc cd changer.

I have a 01 passat with a gamma tape deck and a 6 disc cd changer but it wont load 6 cd's it will only load 1 at a time am i doing somthing wrong or anyone know why it aint working right.??

It looks to me like you have the single CD player with the option for it to be wired up to a 6CD changer located elsewhere, hence the light on the right hand side of the unit for a CD changer.

The unit you are describing has six buttons on the front for you to select the CD slot you wish to load/unload.

I had your unit on my first car and I had the 6CD unit fitted to my Luporghini.

Aww right right it came in the car i only have it a week but was told its a 6 disc changer but didnt think so to be honest but when i press the numbers on the radio it says slot empty apart from slot one oviously be cause that is the slot with the cd so i jus thought i was doing somthing wrong but what you are saying makes more sence lol.

Might be worth checking in the boot in case you have both - if that's even possible?

The CD changer is usually on the left hidden behind a flap.

EDIT: In fact I notice your unit has indicator lights for 'CD Player' and 'CD Changer' so maybe you do have the changer as well?

I will have a look today and let you know i never even thought of checking the boot as i was told its a in dash changer.
