Audi Extended Warranty
Discussion
My TT currently has an years extended warranty. I was under the impression that in order to maintain the warranty I had to have all service work completed by an Audi approved dealer. However, I was looking over the paper work last night, and it's worded as if as long as it's serviced in accordance with Audi's recommendations and I assume genuine parts it's covered.
Anyone know how it works or have any experience?

Approved Used warranty certainly *used* to required servicing by Audi Centre. But current extended warranty doesn't seem to.
Check your specific policy details, because its the kind of thing that can get altered from year to year...

I've taken out two Audi extended warranties this year and the full terms make it clear you must use an Audi Centre or Audi approved repairer.
I've posted a link to the Feb 2015 Ts &Cs, which doesn't say that. Do you have a different document? Audi Extended Warranty said:
• Servicing must be carried out in accordance with
vehicle manufacturer recommendations. Genuine Audi
components, oils and other fluids or components, oils
and other fluids of equivalent specification and matching
quality must be used. Failure to comply with this condition
will result in a warranty claim being rejected.
• Failure to keep your vehicle serviced in accordance with
the manufacturer’s service schedule will void the warranty.
You must keep all servicing receipts and invoices. We will
be entitled to check that your vehicle has been serviced
regularly and may ask to see these in the unlikely event
that the condition of your vehicle does not appear to
correspond with your vehicle service schedule.
I think EU Block Exemption only applies to manufacturers original warranty. Not to approved used or extended warranties.vehicle manufacturer recommendations. Genuine Audi

Audi and for that matter all manufacturers want to keep you in the dealer network, but if it is an insurance based scheme they cannot insist you use their dealers or decline a claim on that basis.
However they may make it more onerous for you at point of claim or reduce the amount they pay out.
Be prepared to provide evidence to prove that you have maintained your car in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines and used OEM parts.

Audi fixed price servicing is pretty cheap anyway so unless you plan on doing it yourself you won't save much taking it to an independent.
I recently had it fully serviced and changed the brake and haldex oil at the TT shop for £400. I estimate Audi would have been a couple of hundred more. An they pointed out the "misting" shocks that Audi tried to ignore. So, I shall be sticking with them from now on.
