Insane S8 Lease Deals!!
Discussion
Considering delays with orders (mentioned in other thread on PH), there doesn't seem to be a reason to offer them cheaply. People mentioned waiting until June-July for delivery. Maybe in summer there will be another promotion.
I still haven't seen any S8 on a road since July 2015 when I started looking at this model.

Any more new owners? I'm curious about your impressions of the car. I must say, I'm starting to appreciate it more and more.
I've not driven the audi but the big 7's and merc's (petrols) are great cruisers that can give plenty of quick cars a fright. Infantile i know but so many red light drag scalps. The only time i bashed an alloy wheel was in multi storey carparks. Not great cars for parking! EnjoyBurwood said:

In the fullness of time I will see this for myself, but how good is the bird's eye camera for avoiding scraped alloys? I have a particularly tight spot with high kerbs on the school run and was hoping to resolve my wheel anxiety issues.Harris_I said:

Camera gives the impression that you are closer to the kerb, than you really are, so you will be ok. I used cameras on Gatwick Short Stay, which is very narrow and made it ok. Avoid this car park in A8 ;-)any of you S8 leasers got a good recommendation for insurance? Moneysupermarket.com not coming up with very many responses, I guess given the performance of the thing plus the "i'm not the owner or keeper" thing. The ones that have come back aren't hugely expensive, but i feel I am barking up the wrong tree maybe.
For my set of variables in SW London, 9NCD, online quotes on comparison sites were from £1000 to £2000 for known companies. Aviva quoted me £900 with second driver, better courtesy car and foreign travel. Then Admiral price matched it for me but I had to remove my named driver (he became their customer mid year and suddenly started increasing the price but before he was decreasing it).
I chose Admiral other Aviva because I will be moving and new address with Admiral is only £27 extra but £250 extra with Aviva. Aviva also had higher excess, min. £500 mandatory + £150 minimum additional. Admiral allowed me to choose lower excess.
Foreign driving is very important to me so I didn't look into other cheaper policies without it. They weren't that much cheaper and I would have to call and ask for a quote every company.
To add to comparison, I previously paid £660 for 2014 C63 at the same address with 8NCD and additional named driver.
I knew insurance is going to be more expensive than for C63, I checked it before ordering the car. But at £300 more for insurance and big saving on lease it was a good deal.
BTW, if you lower the value of the car from £80K+, you will find more quotes. Some companies don't quote for such expensive cars. I declared £60K as the price on invoice was £61K.

I'm running through quotes now on comparethemarket. Value £66k (per invoice), 8NCD, no protection (always thought this was a bit of a con), £600 excess (voluntary 250 compulsory 350), garaged in Surrey gets me a quote of £610 with Grove and Dean. Admiral is next cheapest at £624 with a total excess of £550 but that excludes motor legal protection and breakdown cover.
BTW, I seem to recall someone on this forum advised Audi/VW Financial Services do not offer breakdown cover in Europe. Since I don't have a copy of the lease agreement yet, can anyone verify?

Nothing to do with WVFS.

I bought gap from Car2cover: Finance and Contract Hire Gap, 2 Years Cover, £50,001-£75,000 Vehicle Value, £25,000 Claim Limit, £124.
Gap123 offers cover of the initial payment for additional £35. Didn't use Ala, as I couldn't get online quote for the value of cover I wanted or maybe it was more expensive, can't remember.
One more thing you may want to consider is service plan for £350. Depends how many miles you plan to do and what's the cost of service. At the moment, I'm at 3000 miles and car still shows next oil service in 11400miles or 440 days and main inspection at 19000 miles. I plan to do more miles that I subscribed for so service plan is good option for me. It can be bought only before car collection.
