Order status updated to arrived in UK this morning, 7 days to dealer apparently. Apart from the initial approval form months ago, I've received no finance paperwork from NVS yet.

When did everyone else get theirs?

But you have to turn ACC on and set the speed - if it isn't on is the radar still active so it will stop you in an emergency should you be busy perving, txting, reading the Google News or a kid runs out etc?
Are the answers you seek not in the manual?

I am a bit lost in all of the excitement on this thread. Can someone enlighten me as to what the Alltrack deal was and if it is still live?

Many thanks,

Just signing the VWFS finance docs now chaps. One question, there's a witness box under my signature - I take it it's left blank?

Good plan. We can share a large Costa latte while we're there. I'll get two straws.

Great write up.

Although these nav errors are concerning. May have to get android play installed for Google maps.

You mean get app connect installed so you can use android auto or car play? £250 is a lot of money.
Yeah but in the context of the cost of the car it's bugger all. I thought I read somewhere I could get it for £200 as well... may have to research it. Anyway I'll hold off and see how it goes with wifi connected to the car. I can always add a widget to the homescreen to toggle hotspot, won't be too much bother then.

OK just rang VW to enquire.

Car Net App Connect is what's on the VW options page.

The service guy I spoke to had to ask a few colleagues, but Car Net is seperate from App Connect apparently. My car does not have Car Net. But... I can have App Connect added to the car for £215 which will give the google maps, music through the phone app, etc.

But on the VW website it lists Car Net as 'everything related to in-car network connectivity'.... including App Connect wobble

Clear as mud hehe

Arrived this afternoon. Been out for 5 miles. Lovely car really, comfortable and pleasant to drive. Phone paired fine, stereo surprisingly good with plenty of bass which was a worry. Excellent DAB reception. Tech seems good. Turns out I do have car net after all... Looking forward to figuring it all out now!

Only niggle so far, is there a way to disable start stop?

Just been out for a spin on the motorway. What a great car! Refined, comfortable, fantastic range of adjustment on the driving position, adaptive cruise is excellent, found the bass levels on the stereo and am very impressed indeed, DAB didn't flicker once either.

120 a month! laugh

Bit surprised that a £35k car doesn't have a rain sensor for the wipers, my 14 yr old e39 and my partners mk6 golf has one...
Yes me too, however I've always preferred manual variable speed intermittent. I've never been 100% happy with the auto wipers on any of the cars that have had them.

Just had a quick auto trader search. Pre-reg 190s available for 27k.

Saw this car on Auto Trader’s Android App. Thought you might be interested. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2016...

Won't do residuals any good but could make things interesting in two years time when a glut hit the used market. If I gel with it it might make for quite a low price if we're given the option to buy.

I'm sure mine has rain sensors. You put the stalk on intermittent. Just driven in a heavy downpour and the wipers came on without doing anything. My 5 year old even asked me if the car had those water sensor things....
Yep, silly me. Works well too.

ACC modes? I've set the distance but that's all. I think depending on what driving mode you are in, eco/normal/sport determines how quickly the car gets back up to speed.

Re: ACC even in very close mode it's not close enough for slowish rush hour traffic. Everyone keeps pulling in front of me mad

More suited to normal motorway driving I think!
