Managed to add an extra 20k to my mileage for £654 as opposed to the £1,440 it would have cost at the end of the contract. Pretty happy with that... and with the car for that matter, despite its few niggles and that gearbox.
Which number did you ring & who did you speak to for this pls?Need to add 10k onto my contract, & thos prices are good
Can't say I have, no.
Adblue update. Just ticked over onto 15k and have had to open my second 20l container of the stuff. Topped it up as much as I can and range is showing 6.5k miles.
So, fag packet maths. 15k - 6.5k is 8.5k miles, so I've used one full 20l container to go 8.5k (assuming it was full on delivery) or 2.5l per 1000 miles.
Also, seeing as I'm talking about running costs, my long term average mpg is 41.7... must admit I was hoping for more, given my commute is 50 miles each way almost entirely motorway.

I'm fairly sure my long term average is well under 40mpg! I will check later and get the exact number up.Adblue update. Just ticked over onto 15k and have had to open my second 20l container of the stuff. Topped it up as much as I can and range is showing 6.5k miles.

In other news I took a Superb Sportline 2.0 TSI (220) out for a test drive today. Surprisingly pokey actually and also solves all the issues I have with the engine/drivetrain/throttle on the Passat. Only reason I took a 220 out was there's no 280s available locally.
Its nice and smooth, there's no dead zone in the power delivery and other than that the interior is excellent, lovely materials. Only downside is the cruise is a stalk like an old BMW but hey wotevs.
So, I really like it and it's a strong contender.
The only issue was the laughable figures from my initial obligatory pre haggle chat post test drive:

Does anyone else find the parking assist coming on randomly while queuing in traffic?
Also, my boot door regularly doesn't close properly.
Yes to both. Also, my boot door regularly doesn't close properly.
I assume the Parking Assist may be a setting I need to change.
The boot not closing caused me to book in to VW. Typically they couldn't recreate it - but it still happens from time to time. Annoying.

Speaking of updates I was reading on ukpassats that there's a satnav update available which removes the annoying need for a space in the postcode.
Yes, I've downloaded the update and replaced the software on the SD card and now no longer need the space in postcodes.Disappointed that the maps still seem quite out of date. My house was built 2 years ago but it doesn't find the road!

How do you do that? Does it fix the terrible routing issues?Disappointed that the maps still seem quite out of date. My house was built 2 years ago but it doesn't find the road!
