3-dr or 5-dr?
I'm looking for the best deal around at the minute, as after a 3-dr with manual box, low deposit.

Yeah I ordered with Select beginning of July. 5 door DSG black. Was told mid Sep to the end for delivery. Then contacted Mon saying 8-10 delay. Could be Nov delivery now. Gutted!! On the tracker though mine is in transit now on its journey. it was at stage 4 been built. So either that's wrong or they are. Seems like the delays over parts DSG gearboxes ect may be sorted. I'm hoping mine will be here soon! Good luck with yours.

I'm having some concerns over my order.
I ordered my Golf R 3DR manual on the 15th of July with Vehicle Savers who then passed me onto National Fleet Services who are giving me the updates.
I was originally told the build week was week 36 which is the week commencing the 29th of August and expect delivery on the 3rd of October.
Since then it has been put back to week 40, which is the week commencing October 3rd and now to week 43 which is the week commencing the 24th of October and not due at the dealer until 21st of November. Nearly a 2-month delay, so far...
I understand there has been a factory closure which is not the leasing companies fault.
I would, however like an order number so I can check it with VW, they have said they don't get one. How can that be?
I would also be interested to hear how other peoples orders are progressing that ordered around the same time?

I have been following this thread since I placed my order and I have just signed up to reply as your experience is very similar to mine. I ordered 4th of July via Vehicle Savers/National Fleet and got same build week as you. My last update was 6th of September to let me know that it was build week 40. Just called National Fleet again and I'm told that it's now 43 and it will be end of November before I'm in the car. Not only that but none of these dates are confirmed yet and that they are all based on National Fleet's own 'estimates'. They think they will get a confirmation within next week. If I'm honest i think they we flooded with more orders than they could handle and there was a delay in getting them all placed and they are using the factory shut down as an excuse. If I read correctly the factory was shut down for 2 to 3 weeks but a lot of people who placed orders are looking at a 2 month delay.
my 12 weeks was today, will be lucky to be in the car by Christmas at this rate.

Hi, seems like we ordered similar time with Select and got a build date mid august, 15/08 to be precise, mines just a 5 door R DSG standard, at first by the admins they said mine has not been delayed due to the parts etc then I did get a call 2 weeks ago saying my car been delayed to oct build and late november delivery, then got a call last week saying mines been built and should arrive to me late october.7 WEEKS AFTER THE ORDER - I was given a build date for mid august before the delays due to parts etc.

How did you get your tracking number from Select? also I heard not to trust the VW tracker you should ask them directly if yours has been built. Updates from select are not good at all iv been getting updates from this forum iv been lurking around here for some time, and the vwroc forums.
@ SiQS - As you seem to be on the ball with the progress, have you heard anything today from Vindis or VW? Seems to have been a number of boats docking in Grimsby over the last day or so, so am hoping our cars were on one of those...I tried VW LiveChat earlier but it seems their systems were down at the time..

Hi John, I tried LiveChat a few times today but there system was down. I've emailed Nick 3 times over the last week and not had anything back. I would be pretty certain our cars are in the U.K. now. Tracker seems to be a day behind. Will try live chat in the morning and let you know.

Exact same scenario for me, even down to the dates! I'm hoping they are estimates subject to improvement as I've seen others with orders after us or around the same time and they are getting their cars soon.I'm having some concerns over my order.

Car arrived at Grimsby yesterday, and apparently the transport order has been raised so according to VW it'll be with the retailer in 5-7 days. They refuse to give out any order numbers. Whichever dealer they are ordering them via will have them.
