Mines being delivered (on a trailer) from Stratford to North Yorks a week today.
Better sort insurance.....
Mines works out the same as my St so happy enough.Better sort insurance.....
I asked for the option of it delivered this way but being a lease i was told it had to be driven.
Also got GAP payment protection for £136 for the 2 year term so we're all sorted.
The girls at Stratford VW just asked me when I'd like it delivering and said it was being trailered so they had no slots this week - nothing said about me having to drive it. In fact the whole process through Stratford has been great.

Ladies and Gents,
I have a Golf R and it's due its first (oil) service in a few hundred miles. It's from VWFS, and as far as I can see from the terms of the agreement it needs to be done at a VW garage. My local dealer wants £185, which I've got them to reduce down to £175. Does this sound about the right price? TIA

Not half! I'll take it easy for first 600-700 miles but it's hard not to give it some! And that new 7 speed DSG is seamlesstalksthetorque said:

Guy just phoned and hes an older retired gent and sounds rather posh. Feel a bit more relaxed about it being driven now.
My post retirement plan - that is if in 2047 they don't deliver themselves. Guy just phoned and hes an older retired gent and sounds rather posh. Feel a bit more relaxed about it being driven now.

Go through a local reputable bodyshop and get the cash from her, don't mention to lease company or insurance...
Definitely this. The lease company would want you to go through somebody they approve of who would warrant the work. And of course don't let on to the insurance either for obvious reasons.Going through the insurance sounds like a lot less hassle to me
Looks fantastic! Unfortunately mine is just in poverty white.
Got the call today to say mine's landed. I'm quite impressed with the speed given the hiatus with the last hatch, i was expecting to have to extend it until the estate arrives, but looks like i can pick up the estate in a week or so and overlap a little with the hatch which is due back mid-June.
On the damage side, mine has sustained dents and scrapes to both wings due to utter fking s at the station car park over the last 2 years... quite unbelievable really, but i opted not to get it fixed at the time (nobody around to blame...) and just get it all done at the end of the lease, which i'm glad of now it's sustained damage 4-5 times!
