My handover is booked for 2nd, should look exactly like yours, will miss the pano roof on my GTD but i' sure the extra horses will compensate!
I’m really pleased with the colour, haven’t washed the bodywork yet, but seems to take the dirt nicely. Still find that there isn’t a DSG mode for all situations. I’ve settled into driving it on the paddles and bumping it into drive in heavy traffic. S mode is ridiculous, allows it to rev stupidly high when 5500ish seems the ideal time to pop an up shift.

Agreed on the piano roof too, if I was buying that would be the first box I tick, particularly on the estate.

Lol changing up at 5.5k revs you may as well drive a I6 BMW Turbo diesel.

Use the revs they can apparently rev to 8,500rpm but you get error codes for engine over rev warranty void...

I still feel like I’m getting used to the ‘box, and perhaps it’s because the car still has less than 400 miles on it. When I’m driving my manual R it certainly feels far more natural and beneficial to rev it out.

You’d hopefully assume that DSG just wouldn’t give you the gear if there was a danger of it being harmful to the engine.

Can someone point me at a discussion/thread/can of worms about what Ron fuel to use? I note the flap says 97. On my first fill-up yesterday I could only get 95, but normally I've used 99 momentum in my vrs I had but that only mentioned 95 on the flap.

Is it a case of 97 will actually see a tangible higher output than 95?

Managed to jump on a cancelled lease deal 2 weeks ago (the infamous ones where prices were super low). Lease co matched the price as it was an existing deal already. Arrived yesterday morning, what a bloody car is all I can say!

It has surpassed all expectations and seems a damn sight better than my previous M135i IMO. Was worried about the noise when switching from the straight 6, but it really is a great sound.

It's a fine looking motor indeed.

I hope folks on here realise that some of their photos contain GPS location data - it's fairly accurate too.

It's probably highly unlikely that the criminal fraternity would do anything with it, but I'd be removing said info from any photo prior to posting a pic on the internet of a car sitting on my driveway that is currently very desirable to car thieves.

If anyone's interested, you can edit exif/metadata on android phones using a free editor called Photo Editor on the play store.

Here's mine that got delivered this week. Courtesy of this very thread. Damn you all. All it took was reading about a cancelled order a page or so back.

You know the sound is fake, and you can turn it off. Sounds like a 1.6 petrol after you turn the artifical noise off

You got an estate VAGLover?

Starting to agree with that comment someone made about you in the leasing thread...

Was it about him being a bit of a troll?

Looks like someone came home last night at 1am and wanted to type.

Nope, I have the 5dr Hatch, and I have turned off the fake sound. Whilst in theory it sounded nice I didn’t like the fakeness. To me it now sounds like a 1.6 petrol.

I did test drive an estate, I didn’t notice a huge difference in noise so assume it was the same

I have this model of car, it’s my opinion, not sure I’m a troll?

Ironically, I am waiting for the cheap estate leases to come back as I want a Bigger boot and rid of my S3.....

I also have a manual pre-facelift hatch, and though it doesn’t sound great, it doesn’t sound anything like a 1.6L petrol. The facelift cars are hugely improved in the sound department, and the estate in particular. I drive my MK7.5 estate in Individual mode with the engine set to Race, but the soundaktor turned off. I’ve been massively critical of the sound the early cars make, but the newer ones sound great IMO.

Looks ace. Don’t think there is a bad colour for the estate.

So individual mode, I have everything default/normal and sound on eco. It does goes into sport mode, but this is driven by the gearbox when needed, not by default
Does sound better when in S. but when in D it isn’t great...
Maybe I have my music too loud or need my ears cleaned!
