The contact I had at VW fleet suggested they were expecting an additional run of cheaper deals quite soon and he'd drop in here when that happened.
If you do get wind of one, just do it. Don't faff about. Don't think about it. Do something compulsive. I did. It's fun
I plan to. Hopefully get a chunk of money from selling my RRS too. Love the RRS but it's just too big and slow to have as my daily. If you do get wind of one, just do it. Don't faff about. Don't think about it. Do something compulsive. I did. It's fun

I am planning on getting another Golf R when my current deal is up. Is it possible for you to share your contact details? I understand if you do not wish to share. I wouldn't risk losing the chance of a good deal. Just thought I'd ask If you do get wind of one, just do it. Don't faff about. Don't think about it. Do something compulsive. I did. It's fun

Any options with it?Car is ready today! Get involved
I'm changing from a 3 year old Range Rover Sport Autobiography so was planning to get the R Estate fully kitted out.

I have my 7.5 R estate arriving mid-December. £1450 initial payment, £240 p/m in Lapiz blue. No other options unfortunately. This is from Crewe VW. Can't wait. It will be replacing a Skoda Superb (which I've really liked having for the past 2 years).
That's a good deal, mileage and duration?gazza5 said:
You will never see golf r deals for 197 a month unless yu have a rediculous high first payment.
The golf r deals are no where as good as they once were. Anything under 300 a month (including initial payment) is seen as good now.
Think mine works out at £310 a month (1560 deposit 256 a month 10k miles 24 month lease). Thats for a estate, hatchback would be cheaper but no deals so far on 7.5 R hatchback. I am led to believe too much demand for hatchback, hence deals only on estate.
Sorry, the £197 a month is an offer to take matey boys Golf R lease off him The golf r deals are no where as good as they once were. Anything under 300 a month (including initial payment) is seen as good now.

Chaps, a newbie to the pistonheads forum. Never leased a car before but very much interested in a golf-r.
Some basic questions if you would bear with me.
1. When is the best time of year in terms of deals for leasing a golf-r ?
2. Are there ever any 1+23 month deals or is it usually 9+23 or 6+23?
3. Do they ever hit £250 a month or is that completely unrealistic?
Essentially I'd like a 5 door DSG in either white silver or Leipzig blue with 19inch silver Pretoria alloys. Not bothered by options as it would be a two year lease but I wouldn't say not to a sunroof.
Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

From my experience the best time to lease a Golf R is around November time. I got mine on a one year lease for 240 per month with 6 months upfront. Some basic questions if you would bear with me.

I have never seen a 1+23 deal on a car of this spec.
Hope this helps a little

You can get a deal like this, it just means the monthlies are going to be that much higher. Mine was a 6+23 on £250/month for reference. You've quoted two options in your desired specification, for the manufacturer sponsored deals, they normally state that no options are available (like mine was - a white boggo estate, which is absolutely fine BTW).I have never seen a 1+23 deal on a car of this spec.

2. As someone said, possibly, give them a call, but don't sit around waiting to see one advertised, because you won't!
3. Dream on, especially on a 5 door hatch - Best deals are on the Estates (which suited me as the hatch was too small) and the optional wheels will cost you extra.

Here's mine that got delivered this week. Courtesy of this very thread. Damn you all. All it took was reading about a cancelled order a page or so back.
Glad you like the car Timmy, Certainly looks good in that colour. Rumours are still circulating about the same deal coming up in November. Hopefully I'll get a lot more cars in. I need to get it washed before the weekend, although it'll probably get just as dirty again driving to Hull!

Interested in upcoming Golf R lease deals. My 2 week old A4 was stolen a week or so ago so i am looking for one ASAP as I am currently in the work pool car. Where is the best place to look for these deals (currently just scouting the Contract Hire and Leasing website).
Also what is lead time? As obviously I need a car quickly (Ideally i would have gone for a Leon Cupra, but the delivery was expected in March, so no good for me)
