U'm It's black.

It is replacing a 150bhp Tdi Tiguan Match Edition that's going back at the end of its two year lease. Tiguan was fine but the Golf wille be finer.
Cheers bud wasn't sure if it haf some pouncy name
The black goes by the name of “Deep Black Pearlescent” now. It was formerly “Diamond Black Pearlescent”. It’s a lovely colour, but chuffing hard to Keep looking clean.

Picked mine up last week too.

Have to be honest, against expectations, this car has more so than any previous car over delivered. It's packed with bang up to date Tech, the standard spec is very good, drives extremely well both in Race when playing & Eco when cruising. Can't fault it in any way.

I take it that cost isn’t the amortised monthly?

Mine came yesterday. Think it's from the same company. Will be sticking a private reg on

Didn’t realise you could put a private reg on a lease car? (Unlike PCP where title sits with you, on lease the title is with the lease company I thought?)

Yours came from UChoose Contracts?

Saw one on the VWROC forum the other day from UChoose, same colour as mine, was also an Estate & only one letter different to my regsmile

The number plate advert is a little unsightly, but can't be bothered to do anything about it just yet, as may put a cherished number on it over the next couple of months.

Yes, easy done. Only issue is you need to allocate VWFS as the holder of the Cherished number (think that's Nominee) & they'll then apply the change to the car for a £50 admin fee. Same in reverse applies at the end of the lease, but very simple to do & takes about 3-4 weeks to complete. Just call VWFS who'll sort everything out for you.

Does anyone else have their leased Golf R on the longlife service regime?

I have a question...

My R estate is now 12 months old. First oil is due in another 5k miles/250 days which is pretty much as expected.

It is, however, requesting an inspection service. Phoned a couple of dealers and they seem confused.

Has this car been set up incorrectly? Anyone else on LL servicing had experience of a 12 month 'inspection' service?

Thanks

I cant answer your question but is LL service the preferred set up for a lease car? ie, not wanting to service it more often than is necessary?

I guess it will depend on your circumstances. I expect to cover 24/25k miles during the 2 year lease. I figured that having the car set for LL servicing would mean the car would only require one service during my lease and it would be due at circa 17k miles.

Time/distance servicing would mean two services would be required - at 10k and 20k.

I would therefore expect this to be cheaper.

Make sure when the car arrves it is on LL, by default VW set leases to LL (so they told me) but my Golf came on fixed (which I thought nothing of at the time), when I rang to book it in for a service the dealer said "but you dont need one as its on LL" "Its not its asking for one at 9K!", so if I had noticed that from the off I might have been able to get it altered at the start and only needed one.

I'm contracted to do 20k miles over two years, I may do another few 1000 miles and just pay the excess mileage which is pretty cheap. So it sounds like LL service is the way to go?

No, mine came from their Crewe operation & the car no doubt sourced by VW Crewe.

The warehouse where i collected the car was full to the brim with Lease/CH cars awaiting preparation & delivery. Must have been a couple of hundred cars in there.
