U choose are a part of VW Crewe
Slightly bigger picture is that UCoose are actually part of Swansway Group who also own many VW/Audi dealerships, including Crewe, Preston, Blackburn & Carlisle amongst no doubt many others. To be honest, i think many of the Leasing companies out there have links, as the warehouse that UChoose have in Crewe & where the office is, i've seen used by other leasing companies who post on YouTube doing reviews of Golf R's & the like, so possibly just a variety of different Trading names.
They were very easy to deal with & offered the best deal available at the time. Highly recommend them.

After 3 days in my new R estate I’ve just driven my manual R hatchback and I’d agree that it is more involving with the manual ‘box, and as such a more satisfying car to drive in the right circumstances. The estate does the complete car thing so well though that I think the DSG ‘box suits it better.
Been back in my manual Golf R quite a bit recently and I'm really starting to think I prefer the manual 'box. If VW could iron out the notchiness of the 1st to 2nd change and stick it in the estate then I'm almost convinced it's the way I'd go.w8pmc said:

Does anyone else have their leased Golf R on the longlife service regime?
I have a question...
My R estate is now 12 months old. First oil is due in another 5k miles/250 days which is pretty much as expected.
It is, however, requesting an inspection service. Phoned a couple of dealers and they seem confused.
Has this car been set up incorrectly? Anyone else on LL servicing had experience of a 12 month 'inspection' service?
Thanks
I can answer your q - My 'barganious' Alltrack passat from vw lease is in a similar boat. Both should coincide together in a perfect world, however if it doesn't, i was adv to take the vehicle to the local dealer. They test the oil, if clean, they reset the oil change interval to match up with the inspection date which was much later. In your case they may do both together or delay them, either way, both done together @ the service cost (I was quoted 179 for first service which includes both the oil change, filter etc / inspection).I have a question...

Make sure when the car arrves it is on LL, by default VW set leases to LL (so they told me) but my Golf came on fixed (which I thought nothing of at the time), when I rang to book it in for a service the dealer said "but you dont need one as its on LL" "Its not its asking for one at 9K!", so if I had noticed that from the off I might have been able to get it altered at the start and only needed one.
A few weeks ago my R came up for an inspection service at exactly 12 months (only 8k miles), so expect that just before my 2 year lease is up the service indicator will come on. Obviously I don't want to pay for a service just before I'm giving the car back (as I expect theyll see the service indicator then charge me for it), so does anyone know if the dealers are happy just to switch the cars over to LL midway through the lease? Apologies if this has been asked on here before....Edit: Called VW, and they said that "from a warranty point of view" they can only switch it to LL when carrying out the next annual service, oh well guess I'll have to pay for another service before it goes back Will bear it in mind for my next lease though....

Re not a golf r but Passat alltrack
See my post just above the previous, at the dealers now, car has gone into the workshop where they will put the oil change service (asking for one right now) to coincide with the inspection (which is just before the lease contract expires)
The service chap agrees the oil change interval has been incorrectly set to ‘fixed duration’ interval and the inspection at the LL interval , when they both should have ben set to LL, supplying dealer cocked up and yes one should check as soon as you take delivery.
EDIT : they changed it so the 1st service is now needed in 365 days or additional 9000 miles, result! Inspection now shows as 20100 miles /730 days.. ( it was 200 days before they altered it), cars going back in May so I swerve the servicing cost. The cock up has paid dividends and a big thumbs up to LL , way to go!

Can you switch/reset the service light with a Carista app? (I couldn't condone this but, its an option?)Edit: Called VW, and they said that "from a warranty point of view" they can only switch it to LL when carrying out the next annual service, oh well guess I'll have to pay for another service before it goes back Will bear it in mind for my next lease though....

Does anyone have any good experiences of extending their lease? Mine is up in a few months but have not yet been contacted by anyone regarding buying the car or extending the lease.
I would love to extend but I think the monthly payments will be bigger
I leased one in Nov 2014 for 24 months at £208pm for 10K miles. However, at the end of the lease, I'd done 37K and so extended it for 6 months with a final mileage limit at 45K and a monthly payment of £260. Out of laziness, I extended it again for another 6 months up to 55K miles but the monthly payment jumped to £360 because the residuals had fallen so far (I could have bought it for £15K after 30 months).I would love to extend but I think the monthly payments will be bigger
With hindsight, I should have given it back after 30 months as it's also needed brakes and tyres in the last 6 months, which have cost more than the downpayment on a new one (with all new tyres, brakes etc)

While we all wait for tomorrow. What options are worth adding and also does it now come with ApplePlay as standard or is that an option?
Apple carplay comes as standard. I'd order with the pano roof if i were planning to keep the car, keyless go is nice too if you like that sort of thing.Rutter said:

I have one of the previous Golf R estates (Delivered June 2017) and as part of the deal I wasn't allowed to specify any options, not even change the colour, so you might be faced with a similar situation. It's not a bad place to be given the price but I might have specced DCC and a climate front screen given the choice.Gassing Station | Audi, Seat, Skoda & VW | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
