Quick question on services before I delve in to my contract. Is there anything that stipulates (VWFS lease) that oil services need to be done at a VW dealer?

For me I will probably just get it done by VW - I can't get shouted at or accused of putting the wrong oil in etc.

Or at least thats the view point I will be taking. I won't be getting it done round my way anyway as some quotes have been 280 - cardiff vw I think was 200 (trying to remember a post on here) so when I am there for the weekend hopefully get it done at the same time.

I shouldn't have any large mileage stuff for a while, as I have 2k miles to go till oil service should tie up with my November trip.

I have a feeling I saw a deal similar but it had a huge upfront payment - can't remember if it was 3000 + VAT or 2500 + VAT

Yes, it's in the VWFS T&C's

Never understood these comments. Every lease I’ve ever had has been 5000 miles per annum, purely because when I’ve done the maths it’s cheaper to pay the excess mileage fee than it is to up the mileage quota. It’s quite simple.

Depending on which brand.... My BMW 335d M Sport was 0.19 ppm excess & worked out WAY cheaper paying monthly. VAG on the other hand have always been cheaper PPM.

I have seen some that are stock/September. Unfortunately I cannot recall where! Freedom Contracts maybe on the hatch but I aren't sure it was a "deal"

Looked into a lease, but the deals weren't especially interesting, and the delays in ordering a new build killed it completely. Ended up with a few month old R estate demonstrator in dark metallic blue, with 18's, sunroof and leather for touch below 31k. seemed ok deal. very nice car for her indoors, nice and subtle but fast, she's delighted.

I looked at leases for months with nothing standing out. Ended up buying a 5 door hatch 66 plate with 4k miles DSC/Pretorias/grey for £22k. Mrs is happy with that for a couple of years after a GTD

Pre reg with 2k of options for 29.5k here. That was the advertised price too.
