So long as they are a quality tyre then second hand will be fine. A cheap ditch finder won’t be accepted by vwfs

Anyone managed to get an extension to their lease if they were already well over the 10k pa?
I have done 31k and they have said they won’t extend. I could go back and say sorry I meant I to type 17k or something.

Vwfs renewal figures are soooo random.
Golf R estate extension last month come back as £342mth!
This month come back as £209mth??? Includes my excess mileage (2000miles) cost too, so quite chuffed with that 😂

Just seems if not happy with original quote keep trying incase a better one comes along. 😉👍

Hi there long time lurker.sorry if this isn’t the right forum. I’m coming to the end of my lease so will more than likely jump onto the new lease deals floating around not as good as previous but still good value. I need to get it serviced before handing back However I have been quoted 412 for a “variable” service which is stupidly high. I have not had chance to dig out and fine my paper work yet but from top of my head a non serviced car is a 400 charge. Are people able to give me prices that they have paid for a service it’s done 17000 miles and will be 2 years old in March. I have done oil changes etc but as it’s on a long term service I have not had it serviced.

Just ordered one of the last Mk 7.5 R estates. Plenty of kit as standard it seems, does anyone know if Apple Car Play/Android Auto are mutually exclusive, or can you have both?

Congrats. The deals are ok ish at the mo. Mine works with Apple and I think it will also work with android ie both work.

I’ve got a 2018 (Mk 7.5 R) and you can use Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, you have to use a USB lead as it won’t do CarPlay wireless but it works well,

I assume this is not a factory order? Is it already in stock?

I ended up extending my R for 6 months but have jumped on the BMW 840i sDrive Gran Coupe deal (£3.5k down, £358/mo on a 9+23, 10k which works out at a frankly ridiculous 16% of list...).

Well my 2 years is up this month. As I had done nearly 20k OVER the 20k allowance they wouldn’t at first entertain a lease extension. They have at last given in and made me a 6 month offer.
It’s quite expensive at £467 but it buys me another 5k miles and resets the mileage allowance. So for £1200 over what I previously paid for 6 months I have also paid off 18k of excess mileage (nearly £2k). Bargain.

Decided to extend my lease for another year until the Mk8 R is released

There really is nothing else out there I think would be better alternative.

I was lucky enough to get the 310 7.5 with a manual box, something I won't be able to get again frown

Think VW want my r back

Original deal 24 months - deposit £1530 ish, monthly £255. FOr 10k miles per annum.

Extended it for year 3 - £205 a month.

To extend for 6 months £555.17 per month. (from June 2020 to December 2020.

Looks like informal extension for 3 months then new car time, need the estate for summer holiday so would be handy to do one last trip on autobahn in august.

Not sure how informal extension works though.

Will try a price to buy in a few weeks when in last 3 months - but I am expecting it to be high.

Definitely keep getting quotes. It might be they are adding in the cost of the increases in road tax? I believe an informal extension is only available if you have another car on order.
A week ago the cupra 280 estates were relatively cheap (4wd, dsg etc).

Just got a quote for 12 months extension, so would have had the car for 4 years, monthly total is £372.56.

I guess they expect our cars to depreciate a bit due to the MK8 out
