Yep. I'm using Thule Wingbars as I already had them from my previous car, with the 775 feet that work with any estate with similar rails. Thule 591 carriers have been working great for me, although I think those have been replaced with the improved 598 now.
Cool, thanks. Had a peek at the wingbars this mronign online and they look quite slick. I want something which compliments the look of the car as much as possible.

Yes, via the tracker - ordered car on Thursday via VW Halifax. Called up this morning to check all was OK, scanned docs received etc etc. and was given the order number. I punched it into the site which says build w/c 02/05 delivery should be end of May early June according to the dealer.Vaud said:

I was also one of the lucky ones who saw the deal and managed to snag an "R" when it came up last week. I have an order number and currently watching the order tracker an almost unhealthy amount! Somewhat by surprise, when visiting the parents this weekend my dad showed me an e-mail he received from one of the leasing companies advertising the deal. I wasn't planning on telling anyone but when he was rabbiting on about how it was too good a deal and how no one would receive the cars, I couldn't resist telling him that I had ordered and that mine was already showing up on the VW order system. So pleased I stumbled across the deal whilst it was live!!
Yep, I feel the same. I was already into an A4 1.4 deal and was extremely fortunate that the car wasn't due to be built for a few more weeks, so called the dealer and cancelled the order and switched to the R, right before the deal was pulled by VW.
Seems like fate, I have no idea why I was browsing the Lease Deal thread seeing as I already had a deal I was happy with, but I'm glad there are some good eggs out there who not only post deals, but also highlight the best contacts to go to.

ETA. Just had a call from my dealer to say they've been back and forth with VW about whether they have got the cars but apparently they do (phew!), they say VW had allocated 200 cars to the deal but took orders for over 500.

Sadly, I counted up how many people had mentioned placing an order on the lease deals thread when I was fretting on Friday about whether or not I made the cut off! Don't ask me why! How many do we think got this deal are on this thread - got to be quite a lot of the allocation??
I think there were around 20 or so different people who had done so. I think the Vindis dealer mentioned he had 16 or so orders plus another 5 on his list, so not sure whether that meant 5 reserves.
I am yet to see an R estate in the flesh. I see the occasional R hatch around my way but that is all. Went nosing around my dealer forecourt after hours last night but none parked up.
My order has been showing as with the factory for past 24 hours and no build week confirmed yet. From reading other threads it seems to be around 4-5 weeks from build to collecting the car.
Im still awaiting confirmation. Been on the phone for the past 2 days and all I keep getting is "were chasing it up, we'll let you know ASAP." I jumped on the deal pretty quick (sent proposal through Thurs morn) but still havent heard whether I got one or not. Im not getting my hopes up. Not impressed.
Anyone else in the same boat?

Exactly the same as me, deal popped up on Wednesday, I did all the back and forth with the dealer on Thursday morning, deal pulled on Friday.Anyone else in the same boat?
