Quite like it - like the alloys. Been told at least another two weeks this morning by Seat UK. Voluntary termination on the old car, being collected today, mid to late morning they said... ?!

I hope they are better to clean than the BE ones. There is a special place in hell for the person that designed them...

Quick question: has anyone who ordered with Wessex received any compensation for a colour change?

I've been told that my Wessex car (ordered blue, getting white) has an upgraded stereo. However, I think that's because my order was cancelled and they found a white one in stock that was pretty close to my spec, rather than any generosity on their part.

No, I didn't. But then I didn't ask and nor can I be bothered to now that I have taken delivery. The car is good... Mad but good.

Are you also getting the £250 high street vouchers from Seat UK customer services?

The wheels look like a 2 tone version of the old 18" 10 spoke jobs they used to fit on SE spec A4s and TT etc back in 2010.

I doubt it. If Seat UK had built my car in a different colour then maybe I would, but they didn't build it at all! (July 27th order date with Wessex, they must have sat on it for ages before actually ordering through a dealer.)

Say hello to the 2017 SEAT Leon Cupra 300
This is more interesting to me:

The Cupra ST 300 which gets 4 wheel drive as standard now, so it really is a Golf R Estate in a different frock.

Will be keeping an eye on the leasing thread in Jan!

Apparently the new Cupra's order book doesn't open until the summer...

I think the red colour in the photo above is much nicer than any of the colours on the current car, other than that I don't see much difference. The 4WD seem a really strange choice though, I like the idea of being able to choose a FWD Cupra or a 4WD Golf R. I wanted the lightweight scrabbly terrier rather than the stolid 4WD plodder, a bit of wheelspin brightens up every drive I reckon!

I think the facelift looks nice, much prefer the new wheels than the 290 standard or BE options. Not looking forward to having to clean those each week. How much have people been spending on winter details then? Curious to know if it's worth me doing it myself or paying someone else. Ideally if someone has used a Manchester / North West based detailer they recommend that'd be useful to know.

20th mine is being delivered. Hate waiting but thankfully it's booked in for delivery. Can't wait. Booked 21st off so I can give it a clean and go for a long drive. smile

Not sure I will bother, they will soon turn black and look good on a white car wink

Mine was apparently built week 47 but I haven't heard anything from Wessex.

I was told I would be given £250 of high street vouchers as an apology for the change from dynamic grey to nevada white. If these don't come with the car and I am expected to chase them up with Seat I think that will be the final straw for me - this whole thing has been a nightmare.

As another previous poster said - I ordered last week July/first week in August - it does indeed seem that Wessex have sat on the orders which means that we are in December and I still don't have my car (and nor will I be getting it in the colour that was contractually agreed!).

Such a disappointing experience for my first ever car purchase!

I'm BW47 and I would expect to hear something by the end of next week.

TBH I am in a 1.0 Citroen C1 until mid January when that goes back, so I am not desperate other than general excitement.

If I really needed the car by the estimated end of November I think I would have probably cancelled by now as Stoneacre and Seat UK have been nothing short of diabolical.

I've got an SD card with about 12Gb of music in slot 2. All the music plays fine but the Cupra only shows album art for about half of the albums? Any ideas?
I don't have my Cupra yet but I had a similar problem with a Pioneer double din unit. I'm not sure if it's the same reasons but here's what I had to do (copy and pasted from another site)

Album Art Solution !!!!!!

Here it is, could be due to many reasons, 5 mostly, found answers on this site.

I have the AVHP-8400BH and Im still working on all of this , but makes sense.

Im currently using the Mp3Tag, but also have itunes open, just so happens , that while following instructions on site below, Ive confirmed that the art work that are not showing are all with ID3v2.2,, and Itunes has a utility if you right click on a song or your entire collection to change the ID3 Tag to the reccomended ID3v 2.3

UPDATE

A couple of hours into it , and have noticed that with the change of ID3Tag version , most of the 18,000 plus songs on an 128 GB USB Drive, have shown artwork, however, I ALSO HAD TO USE DE MP3TAG , FOR CONVERSION OF THE IMAGE TO FRONT COVER AS STATED ON

  1. 3. Misuse of the ‘picture type’, CLICK ON ENTIRE COLLECTION AND RIGHT CLICK HOVERING OVER IMAGE ON THE LEFT (empty because multiple file/songs have been selected), and convert to front cover.
So I updated all tags to v2.3 using iTunes and set all the art to front cover using Mp3tag. Interestingly my files have doubled in size! Disappointingly the album art still doesn't show for all albums. I'm not beat yet though, now that I know a bit more about it and have Mp3tag to help I'll investigate some more...

One more night to go....

Golf R being collected by BCA at midday tomorrow, Leon should arrive by 3pm.

Insurance wise - I have changed the Golf R policy to the Leon and I have a cashback coming of £33 which equates to an annual premium of approx £360.

I was build week 46 and my Status Code changed from 20 to 30 on November 22nd. Today means its been two weeks since the last update and it's yet to arrive at a UK port (it'll change to 40 when it does). I was told it takes 1 week to reach the Port, then a further 2 weeks to get from the Port to Stockport so it seems like my car is a good 1-2 weeks behind. Gutted as I wanted the car for the 16th but it's unlikely I'll get the car before Xmas at this rate.

Unfortunately it depends on the ships. On seatcupra, two guys had the same build week. One of the cars must have been completed before the other, as one of the guys was driving about in his Cupra whilst the other was still waiting for it to arrive in the UK! After contacting SEAT, the second guy was told his car had missed the ship that left on "X" date and as such had been placed on "Y" ship, taking a different route.

I spoke with Carly today. My car has been on its way to the UK port for a week and a half now. There's a ship expected on Thursday so hopefully our cars will arrive then.

I think you can contact SEAT using your order number and they will tell you which ship its on if you wanted to track it.

I'm hoping it's in Stockport before Christmas because Carly is on annual leave between Christmas and new year.
