Have they indicated build dates or delivery or is it pure confirmation?

Thanks guys, I have had a couple of responses now from my enquiries, best so far is for £1953 + 23 x £203. I assume the Cupra R is the upcoming 4WD variant my sales guy mentioned, would prefer 2WD personally. What is the FL you speak of?
Fl is likely next model year and 4wd is going to be ST only aparently

I think the DSG model deal is gone now, seems manual is still about although not as cheap as they were, CVL for on is still showing a hal decent price, happy to give you the details of my sales guy in Birmingham, he understands the leasing side unlike some dealers.
Have sent you an e-mail Sir.
Should have the reply wink

Quick update, got a build slot of 3rd week of September, expected in to dealer 2nd/3rd week of October, that will make it 15 weeks from order if it stays as is, going to update me in September.

To be honest probably wouldn't of wanted to wait this long for one as it messes up some Home improvement plans I had for the money from my car sale, was told initially 10 weeks would be the longest frown

He did say in conversation a number of times "the sheer number" so guessing Seat have seen unusually high demand for the Cupra over recent weeks haha

Edited to add date of order for others for comparison, it was on the system that date too: Ordered on 7/7/16 with estimated delivery of 22/9/16

I had my current company car delivered on December 14, the excitement was quickly wiped away with the rain soaked seats and door card after the driver decided to leave it open whilst strapping another cat to the trailer, 12 miles on the clock, sodding wet and steamed up! Cheers :-(

Well it seems despite me stating that I won't be taking the car until December and cvl sales confirming this isn't an issue, the requirement hasn't passed to cvl admin or the dealer.

If it can't be confirmed I'll be cancelling my order.
I'm guessing they have advised the same build as we have all go then?

Just ordered a Cupra 290 Black Edition in Ice Silver. Manual for me...cheapo.

On a 1x23 deal so the figures are:

24 monthly payments of £257.50
10,000 miles p/a
That's a good price, I thought VWFS have reduced some of the support for this model now, seems not!

To think I was paranoid I was going to miss out on this deal by waiting 2 days to go to the dealers haha

Sounds about right to me, it seems that most orders from July are expected mid October, I ordered 7/7/16 and have been told the same making my lead time 14 weeks, factory is back in tomorrow so you may find that the times come down or extend as a result of the order books!!

The lack of updates is due to the Factory being shut at the moment.

Will be re-opening 5th September so hopefully some news soon after!
I think they're back in today AJB is in the know and I'm sure I saw a post on another forum with that date

Oh no!! I've committed money from my part ex, hope mines not November!! I always thought this might happen. I'm sure the amount of Cupra orders in July was higher than the previous 6 months, maybe they can't handle the amount of uk orders.

Had a phone call from the dealers number today, got all excited thinking it was about my car, conversation went like this:

"Hello Mr Jonwm, as a valued customer you may have received our invitation to the new car event this weekend at the dealership, you haven't replied?"
"yes I did get it thanks, I also replied stating I ordered a new Cupra last Month from you, thanks though"
Pause as he looks down his response list for that one........
"Ah ok, well why don't you come down anyway as you could win a prize on the raffle?"
"No thanks, can you tell me when my car will be here though as your on?"
"ermmm No sorry"

That's my riveting update for the day.....

At least you got a call from the dealer, my updates have only come from Seat direct, build week of 37 is confirmed now which they have translated to mid October delivery.

If you've got your seat order number beginning 2xxxxx they will update status, similar to the VW website tracker.

It's the one reason I never have had an S3 or R, my wife is the main user of the second car so would hate for anything bad to happen with people pulling her and the kids out.
I live in a village just north of Birmingham and 5 miles from Tamworth, so not too high risk but they turn the street lights off at night to save money, burglaries have gone from zero to several over the last 12 months, no reports of cars being jacked though.

I had a MK LCR on my drive for 3 years never had problems and I have fairly decent company cars, 2 nights ago I left both windows down on my A5 by accident and it was still there when I got up, the wife never locks the currently FR, I have to flick the key when I go to bed to make sure.

I've got a fairly decent visible security system which we use, but this week I just changed my euro locks to Anti bump ones and reduced the profile of them to help with snapping them, I did this purely because of getting the 290, i don't care about the car its the people in my house with the kids that bothers me.

Sounds like you've got a cancelled order, you've not been able to order a non black edition Cupra for a while now, and you'll be getting it before mine that I ordered start of July.

Dynamic grey is a great colour

Just a quick one for the people that have ordered form a dealer.

I'm looking at my paperwork and in dealer fitted extras I have the following:

First Reg fee £55
Fuel Charge £16.67
Protection Pack £415.83
12 Months Tax £185

I know this is all bundled into the monthly price and a way to get the salesman his commission up, but does anyone else have these and more interestingly what is the protection pack @£415?

Also Seat called yesterday and said build still w.c 12.9.16 but don't expect to see if before the end of October!!! I questioned this and they said:

"1 week to build then 4 to 5 weeks to ship to the UK and get to the dealer"

According to the brochure it comes with mats anyway, I cant see any protection pack or anything that equals that amount, I thought it might be an autoglym paint protection that he gets commission from.

I've just scanned it in and i'm going to email him, he'll love that on probably his busiest day of the year, I wont expect a reply any time soon.

I think the protection pack gives you a boot tray, rubber mats and mudflaps.

Are you sure you're not paying for these as extra? You never know, it may knock off £17 odd per month off your rentals if you ask them to remove it.
If it is those things, then it's probably the lease company that have specified them to keep the car in better condition.
Quick update on this as he called Saturday.

He doesn't know what the charge is, it is just on the order form apparently, it has nothing to do with the price i've been quoted, hmmm

Good news thought its being built this week now not next so may see it before October :-)

I'm not sure what status 00 or status 10 means, is that percentage of construction complete? smile

My order, placed with Wessex in last week of July, still shows mid-October delivery on their system. I'm sure at some point it will delayed until the Flumpteenth of Nimtember.

Silly question: having never ordered a new car before, how/where is it delivered? Will a giant transporter turn up at my house? Do I have to get the train to whichever Seat dealer offered my broker the best price? Perhaps the order will be delayed until Santa can load it onto his sleigh for a 24th Decemeber delivery?
Current company car came from Southampton Audi, was transported with 3 other on a Small transporter.

Previous BMW from park Lane came straight to my house on a covered carrier directly from a huge pdi place up north.

You will normally get a call for delivery date then just wait in! It may be driven or trailered.
I'm picking mine up from the dealer as it's 15 mile away
