Ouch.

Add an extra four weeks for delivery on top of that?
Yeah unfortunately. Luckily I have my A4 due to go back in April, so it should be more or less perfect timing. I'm very impatient and don't want to wait that long however!

My sister picked up her Cupra on Saturday & can you believe someone has keyed it already, you can’t have nothing decent these days, unbelievable.
That's Horrible to hear that, i really do wonder who the type of people who do this are ? Is it chavy teens ? Pissed up jealous people ?

Picked up my blue white Cupra yesterday ( I ordered Blue and it arrived white ha ) loving the car and whilst I think the red / blue colours really make the Cupra stand out, I'm weirdly okay with the White as it doesn't stand out and White cars hide stone chips and scratches etc really well.

One thing I feel a lot of you's are missing out on ( seamed like a lot of you's ordered standard cars ) is the Adaptive cruise control option @ £150. Wow it makes such a difference with long old motorway journeys or just when you want to keep to the speed limit for once..... it made my 300 mile trip to Cornwall today a breeze in comparison to other cars I've used for the same journey.

Picked my white cupra up today from Cornwall. So that's at least 2 in Cornwall for the time being. I ticked the ACC box as it's great for 30/40 limits or average speed cameras.

I didn't even notice the ACC option.. but i had already added DSG, seat sound and winter pack, so didn't really want to go mad with options. The car has cruise control anyway doesn't it? So the ACC basically maintains speed to the cars in front? Sounds interesting, although im not entirely sure how much i would use it. would have been an extra 6quid a month and i'd already gone above my budget anyway, so didn't really justify it given what it's costing. Nice thing to consider next time though

It ilimates the main problem with cruise control - having to turn it off / pause it or try and overtake when you catch up with motorists going slower ( overtakes not always possible if motorway super busy ) it basically tracks the car in front and maintains the same speed as it at a distance you choose and then coasts / brakes / accelerates up to your set speed.

E.g ACC set to 75, motorist infornt traveling at 70ish, the car automatically slows to 70ish ( matching the speed ) and maintains a set distance. It will also brakes if a car pulls into your lane and ruins your set distance, when you put on a indicator to overtake it knows this and automatically starts accelerating to your set speed.

I got the stock sound system and find it pleasantly decent - loud and crisp enough for me, would be good to have a comparison ha.

I ordered from IMG on 14th July (3dr in Monsoon Grey with ACC) with a WK38 (mid September) build date.

Has anyone with a similar build date been given a firm delivery date? IMG are not very communicative....lucky it's a good price!

I think my order date was a few days before that - but it's a 5dr manual with ACC. My build date was early September and I picked it up 2 days ago. IMG were pretty accurate with their guess in my case - to be fair to them it seams SEAT's whole system isn't very accurate at delivery dates ( SEAT customer services are not much better from what I heard ) They can only guesstimate.

Ordered mine on 11th July, was told that as one of the first 17 orders I could get a car in September, otherwise December. Just gone for a standard 5dr manual and collecting on Saturday.

Has anyone cancelled an order so far? I'm guessing you lose your deposit and that's it?

I ordered at a similar time (5 door manual, monsoon grey, no options) and still dont have a build week, unconfirmed for week 9 2018 although that may be brought forward apparently

I cancelled mine. IMG said I could cancel and have my deposit back a few months ago (they sold me the car based on an October delivery but it was due to be built week 8 next year...) I cancelled but have now been told that I can't get it back. The Sales Manager got very annoyed on the phone. Not a good experience from IMG and won't use them again. SEAT are looking to refund me my deposit and they sourced me a car from another dealer that they had just taken delivery of (Oldham).

thanks for the ACC description. Sounds like one to consider for next time.

All go to collect mine tomorrow. Happy days.

Can anyone who is on the latest lease deal answer me a couple of questions:

1. Did you sign anything when agreeing to the deal?
2. Did you get any documentation?

I can't remember signing anything and a certainly didn't receive any paperwork.

Just wondering where I stand when I cancel and ask for my refund and inevitably am told no.

Only a seat finance document when you first apply and your deposit is your way of agreeing on the car order. You get the contract itself a few days before delivery.

Not sure where you stand on cancelling unless their is going to be a severe delay for your car compared to the delivery date you got quoted.

if your still after a Cupra and your IMG order is being delayed severely, then it might be worth getting in touch with seat customer service, escalate the case and see if there is a stock car anywhere in the country.

I dealt with Adam at IMG and he pretty much said December/January when I ordered so I was prepared for the wait.
But if he told me October and it turns out to be March I would definitely complain.
From the sounds of it people who have escalated it to Seat have done pretty well

I asked for some documentation repeatedly but nothing was forthcoming. The delay for me personally is only slight and that isn't the reason behind this change of heart, I just fancy something a bit sooner ie now.

I'm not too fussed about losing the deposit thought getting it back would obviously be preferable.
