Just got confirmation the car is built and will be shipped on Monday 7th Dec. They couldn’t say when it would be at Warrington. Guys, any idea what the lead time is like from shipping to arrival? Cheers.

They say 3-4 weeks from build week to delivery week

Great news! Just picked up a banger to use as sold my car last week so glad it should be here shortly.

Also do IMG provide any short term insurance for when the car is picked up? Or do you sort prior to pick up? Cheers.

So mine was due next week although I've never been given a confirmed build slot. I then get a call last Friday to say it's been damaged and written off in transit and will now be ordered again!!!

To their credit they have now put me in a loan car but what a bloody nightmare, 6 months + for a Seat? You would think it's a custom ordered prestige vehicle....

This is what allowing cheap lease deals does.

When I ordered mine new in 2014, the lease deals didn't exist. about 8 weeks it took and I threw options onto it.

How and when was it damaged?

My Cupra DSG 5 door arrived yesterday in Monsoon Grey. What a car. In Cupra mode it roars nicely.

Having never had a sports car I love it. Even more so for £285 with no upfront payment.

A little disappointed that the folding mirrors Don’t fold when car locked and left.

On a side note is the key fob pressed twice to set the alarm or once? According to the manual the second press deactivate the alarm?

You need somebody with VCDS or OBD Eleven who lives close, this can be enabled.

Press and holy the lock key for 3 seconds. Mirrors will fold in.

Press lock once.

So my car has just popped up saying "Oil Service due in 29 days" - am I correct in thinking that this is simply an oil change?

I took this to mean the first annual service as it was timed to within 1yr of receiving the car. Approx. £200 at my local Seat dealership.

My car was set to long life; around 2 years before it's first service. There's nothing about a service due, it just says oil.

Is that press it once and it will lock and cut off everything else too or does it need to be pressed twice for that? The seat dealer was pretty sure it was press and hold for 3 seconds twice

Couldn’t agree more, I honestly think they’ve made a titanic balls up of it since day 1 but as I’ve got a free car for now I’m not going to complain too much!
