Have any of the old guard from the start of this thread had a quote on extending their two-year lease by an extra year? Mine is not up until December but I have no idea whether it will be more or less per month (than I am currently paying) to extend it.
I did ask about a month ago but VWFS will not quote until there is six months remaining so I wil be able to get a quote in May - will report back then.Afternoon all
Thought id drop an update in as the thread starter....
Rang VWFS to settle early today, the car was originally brought as a second car for my wife and 2 kids, depending how you look at it fortunately or un-fortunately we had a new arrival in November so needed a bigger car, dropped on another PH lease special and got a Peugeot 5008.
The Cupra at the time 14 months into the lease had only done 2k miles, I was due a replacement company car so work allowed me to delay the new one (see 330E updates, its been a right pain!) and gave me car allowance, since December I've done just over 5k in it, averaged 38mpg which is great but with the new one coming Wednesday I paid my dues today (55% of remaining payments).
Now the interesting bit, I worked out my mileage allowance pro rata and have done 7366, VWFS said I was allowed 7362 so i'm 4 miles over, at £0.07 a mile I wonder if they will send me an invoice? They also said I have 21 days to arrange with BCA the collection and can drive it up until they take it, interesting so if your thinking of early termination you do get some grace.
Overall I've loved the car, now had all 3 MK's of Leon and this has been the best by far (well maybe my Mk1 Cupra R came close) never had an issue and still on its original tyres.
Hopefully one day I will get a hot hatch back.......

Well I got lucky and managed to skip the queue for a Cupra.
I emailed to cancel my order (placed in February with no build date confirmed 3 weeks later) and the dealer seemed a little upset at my decision. Surprisingly he phoned the next day to say there are 8 Cupras in stock in the UK, one of which matched my exact criteria of Mystery Blue and DSG. The added bonus of it being a 3 door car with panoramic sun roof + SEAT sound. A bit of negotiation later and we were able to come to a monthly deal of only slightly more (we are talking a few quid) a month than the price matched IMG Warrington deal on a 1 + 23.
Excited for next week when it arrives.

Mine's due back Dec too, just clocked 29k miles, changed front tyres to Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2 at about 14k, then blew one of them a week after
Due my 30k service imminently and probably at least 2 tyres again i reckon.
Have been looking for other deals but still not much is coming out better than the 300's. Not sure how the Cupra brand being standalone will affect the leases in the future...

Picked mine up on Sunday, took Monday off work and have covered 300 miles already. Effortlessly quick. A car like this shouldn't be able to corner this quickly, LSD or not! I'm genuinely blown away by how good it is.
This makes me more excited to get mine in a few weeks. Any pics? Do you have the digital cockpit and if so, how are you finding it?wilbo83 said:

Initially I was a bit skeptical because I prefer analogue dials, but it's grown on me now. I like how it displays the journey summary every time you switch the engine off, and have recently discovered that it's very customisable through the central touchscreen - I'm pretty sure you can have the lap timer, navigation, speedo, tachometer, and acceleration G force all showing on the dash for example. The pictures really don't do mystery blue any justice at all:
Has anybody had issues with the built in SatNav and Apple Maps going way off course when running?
I could be driving down the motorway and then all of a sudden I'm driving through fields and rivers. It doesnt happen often, but its rather annoying, especially when in a city i dont know and need directions. If i disconnect and use my iPhone standalone the route is fine.
Does the headunit use its built in GPS for Apple Maps when connected to Carplay?

I've not had that specific problem but I have had a couple of software crashes that require the ignition to be switched off to reboot it which is a pain on the motorway. Sometimes refuses to connect to my phone via car play. Not too often thankfully. And the sat nav has the most bizarre accent I've ever heard. Also, despite the clock using GPS to update time and date it refused to update after clocks changed at the weekend. Had to change time zone and then change it back again. I'm wanting to do the opposite and give it back a couple months early. I believe you have to pay 50% of any remaining months payments?
55% if I'm being pedantic!Cheers for the info!

BCA inspection was painless, no damage reported even though there was a few stone chips, he said it’s cheaper to leave it if you have dented panels etc quick video was done and he was gone, he said they get another inspection one at the site though.
