Had another call from Crewe Seat today, my Cupra has been built and is on a ship en route to the UK! Should be here 3 weeks ahead of schedule. Absolutely buzzing now!

Was it a creaking from the front at low speed maneuvering/pulling away? I've got that currently.
Yup. I don't really hear it in the wet, but it's very prominent in the dry. So it sounds like lack of lubrication on the bushes. Told the service manager this and he said it was a fairly well known issue. You'll hear it inside the cabin. I can't replicate it by bouncing on the car from the outside.

My 290 BE is going back soon. Paid the early termination fee and need to contact BCA next week if haven’t heard from them by Tues.
Does anyone know the charges that they charge for damage. I caught the number in a low rock and put a nice scratch in it. I have a quote from chips away for £130 plus vat. Not sure whether to go with that?

I've recently received the letter too. Mines due back in November.

I've asked for a price on a 12 month extension and what the arrangements are for an informal extension. Will report back once I have the details.

Also planning to get back in touch with Lookers to get a quote on another Cupra. Been keeping an eye on the main lease thread but not seen anything with the same bang for buck as the Cupra for a while...
Any news on the quotes you asked for?

I am on the same timescales and asked for an extension quote at the start of the year, they would not do it until I am within six months of the end of lease so it may well be the same for Essenn.

Our Cupra Black is due back mid Dec so was just wondering on what people were being quoted for an extension either on a month by month basis or as a 12 month. Ours is a 1+23, £249, stock manual car.

Just trying to weigh up whether to order a 300 (1+23, £289) so it hopefully comes before i need to service this one again or keep this longer than the 2yrs instead.

Cool, similar situation here.

Will get an answer on both the formal extension and the Lookers quote soon hopefully. I've been told that the informal extension figure is just your current monthly cost and can be for 1 or 3 months.

Just posted this on the Lease Deals thread, but thought some on here might find this 'interesting' as well...

Just contacted dealer to check on my Cupra 300 order. Placed order on 22nd January with "worst case scenario" lead time of 20-22 weeks - making that 25th June at worst. They checked my order today and it doesn't even have an expected build week yet. If you take the industry average of 13 weeks from build to delivery, it's already 4 weeks late...

Just to put a different side across, I placed an order on the 19th January and was given the same worst case scenario lead time, and I am collecting my car on Sunday.

That could well be a cancelled order, mine was supposed to be roughly January-February delivery and I collected mine in September.

Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't.

Mine was ordered around the 16th of Jan for an ST Manual and got my confirmed build week on Monday, being built the week of the 14th of May and delivery should be the week of the 11th of June or thereabouts.

They'll match the IMG price. Seems the most competitive at the moment. Lead time is 6 months eek

Think I'll wait a month or so before committing to anything....

Just to throw some more information regarding build/ship times etc...

I placed my order on the 27th of Jan for a Manual Cupra 300 5 door and was told "late June, early July" time for delivery to me.

Everything has ended up being brought forward considerably apparently, as my SEAT dealer rang me yesterday to tell me that the car has arrived in the UK and will be ready for collection a week Sunday!

Anyone know the approx price of a 2yr / 2nd service on the Cupra Black?
Mine is only due in December at 2yrs old but currently wondering whether to order a 300 and give this back a bit early or keep it for longer. Guess that also depends on the 12 month quote extension which i guess is not available until 6 months from the hand back date (so mid June for us).

Just placing an order for the Cupra from IMG the latest update from SEAT is 28-36 week build time!
My golf doesn’t go back till Jan so I’m fine with that but probably won’t suit most very long wait.

How does it come as a shock that a major service at a main dealer is more expensive than doing it yourself?
Hasn't it been that way since cars were invented?

Not to mention the residual value (that I don't care about) difference between FSSH and DIY cars probably adds up in favour of the dealer serviced car over 2-5 years.
