A fellow PHer I know has a Cupra ST estate on order (placed at the end of March) - his most recent update from this weekend was that it might be at least an additional 10 weeks or more on top of the normal build time of "12 weeks for the model and 8 weeks for additional trims". If it's 11 months for delivery as has been previously posted, I think my friend will take his business elsewhere, regardless of how good the car may be. Clearly the European wide emissions situation isn't helping. FWIW, there are a few pre-red cars for sale, though none that match the spec my friend had ordered.
Is it a 4drive? Currently, SEAT won't be signing off the engine/gearbox combo until at least October/November and won't be giving out any confirmed factory build weeks until after that. It's guess work as to when they actually start the ST 4drive builds though. Having said that, I don't think anyone with an ST on order has a confirmed build week yet. My 5 door is one of the first to be built under MY19 and isn't until week 38. I can't see any ST owners getting theirs until next Feb at the earliest.

What are the original Cupra Black leasers thinking then? I'm guessing the 2 years will be up for quite a few of us soon...

In the absence of any decent deals think I'll be going ahead with a 6 or 12 month extension, both of which have cheaper monthlies compared to what I'm paying now.

Bet there will be some crazy Q4 deals as soon as I've sent off the paperwork biggrin
Mine was stolen last week, unfortunately not written off, it'll be getting replaced with an XC60 or similar I think my hot hatch days are over

Yep, it'll be 4drive with DSG. My friend is resigned to it being a possible 2019 build and maybe even a "19" plate. It just proves we'd be one spoilt by 16-20 week factory build times!

It will tell you in the menu.

Vw group cars can either be on fixed 12m/10k or variable up to 18k or 2 years

Hi all, my 1st oil service is due in 2 weeks on my 300, i've heard of people delaying this for up to a month to avoid having to do the 2nd inspection service but does this actually work? For example, the on board info on car says oil service due 14 days, inspection service 379 days, so if i delay the 1st service will it adjust the amount of days to inspection service or will that amount of days just stay the same? Just wondering if there is any point in delaying? Thanks guys

I have a R - goes in for oil service next week (warning flashing up right now saying "oil service now").

However as its long life servicing the car tells you when it need service, so I got the R on 6/6/17, oil service will be done next week (Wednesday 24th Oct), i have been told it will not affect the inspection service which I assume is a full service, so in my case its due in 247 days (I think it is according to car). Will double check tonight.

Cheaper from IMG with 8k miles than that.

My first service was due 21/9 but the Seat dealer didn't have the capacity for a pick up and drop off until 22/10.
I emailed them about whether it would count as a missed/late service so I had a paper record and they said that it's fine.
Any issues from Seat finance now and I'll direct them back to the dealer.

May want to check with seat finance about that. Mine was due and I asked the dealer how fussy seat finance/vwfs are and they told me quite fussy and best to get it done on time. Maybe the dealer just wanted the job in?

Hi, i would be interested to know if your 2nd inspection service countdown is reset to 365 days after your 1st service or not, if you could update after Monday that would be great.

Our 290 was registered November 16, I had the first service done around Xmas time last year (so a month late on the indicator), it is now showing next service due around Xmas time this year.

Seriously considering it! Only just sent of my 12 month extension paperwork for the current Cupra so need to see if I can cancel that if I go ahead.

Any thoughts on the 2019 model Vs keeping my Cupra black for another 12 months at £170? Would probably have to factor in a service and tyres maybe..

In other news my 290 BE goes back next week.

I had BCA come out this week and assess the car - as apparently you can no longer get an assessment and collection on the same day.

The guy inspected the car and presented me with an estimate of £333(ex vat) in charges which are as follows:

Wheel LHF Scratched Rim over 50mm Refurb Wheel 36.00
(fair play - bit gutted as this only occurred last sunday!)

Tyre RHF Condition Gouge Replace 187.29
(Something i hadnt noticed - but I am getting this tyre replaced myself for 130 - pothole damage)

Bumper front Scratched Multiple Areas 25mm to 50mm through top coat Refinish 110.40
(Carpark damage - i wouldnt be able to get this fixed for less)

There was a couple of little dings and stone chips that he spotted but said were acceptable.

I will miss the car - the amount of performance for the money was immense - although the cars ability and performance were far beyond my kahunas to fully take advantage of it on the public roads.

It is being replaced by two cars - a BMW 330e as the "daily" - And also an Abarth 124 Spider which hopefully arrives next week!.

Mine was picked up by BCA an hour or so ago. Sad to see it go having really enjoyed the car - fantastic all rounder. No charges thankfully.

Bought an LS400 to replace it, then saw the cheap V60 deals so ordered one of those thinking it would be the end of winter before it arrived - it arrives at the beginning of November.

I just opted to have the car back early - £150 ish charge for the final month and a bit (plus loss of the car obviously) meant I avoided the 275 lease payment and 290 service cost.

My lease is up Dec 15th and have decided to buy mine; had the letter from BCA Thursday, quoted £18,100 to buy it. Seems reasonable to me, I can’t find anything about the same money for the performance (mine was £240/month 3+23) and I just really like the car.

Sorry another service question, I got mine from IMG Warrington, can I get it serviced from any seat dealer? Are they the same price?
