My Cupra goes back in November and struggling to find anything that's better tempted to get another one. I got the £249 deal at the time what's comparable to that now?

Is the lux worth the extra?
I've just bought the Cupra Lux 290 - £295 x £295pm over 36m, 8k mileage. Cheapest LUX I've found. Found through leasing.com

I really wish the Lux was available to order when I ordered mine. The adaptive cruise and keyless entry and worth it alone. Still love the car though biggrin

Did anyone extend their lease?

Im still struggling to find anything, I'm not sure I can justify a £50 a month increase for essentially the same car when my lease ends

Mine went up about £40 and I lost heated seats. The build quality is a massive step up and the cabin is a nicer place. Worth the cost imo.

I was 10k at £257 on my old Cupra.

Mine is the standard one. My new deal is £287, 8k. So actually £30. But the old car was manual, this one is DSG.

To go to 10k, it was £40 a month more, but I only used 15k on the last car. The interior is much more golf-like now; nicer trim pieces etc and has things like alcantara on the door cards. General improvements everywhere like virtual cockpit. The road noise is a lot less too from improved sound deadening.

What sort of timescales are you looking at when you want the car inspected and collected? (car through Seat FS)
ie book it and it's generally within a week, 2 weeks, longer.....also can you specify a time slot or even am/pm or is it just 'sometime on the date'?

My lease is due to go back in November, do you have any idea when the earliest I could hand it back without incurring additional charges.
I just want to sort out my next vehicle I don't want to be without a car

If with VWFS they will want 55% of remaining rentals to end early.

I have got 5 months left on lease and VW FINANCE called me asking if I was interested in a new lease. I explained I got my lease with a £285 deposit and £285 a month deal. The best they offered me was 6 months deposit and £350 a month on a 24 month lease wtf.... I said no thanks.

Anyone gone from a Cupra to a GTi?

My 290 due back in a few months too, not seen a decent lease yet so unless something good comes up in the next month or so, will probably buy an early Mk7 GTi. Would the drop in power be noticeable? Cupra been fun to blast around in for the last 3 years lol

Yeah, you’re going to notice a 70bhp drop. But luckily a simple £500 remap will see that fixed biggrin

Ah was hoping it wouldn't be too bad... 0-60 times aren't that far apart and wondered if the DSG Vs the current manual I've got would help compensate...sounds like a remap would be on the cards if I do get one.

Still holding out for some cheapo Cupra 300 deals as they run the current model out in the meantime.

I requested a 12 month extension quote from Seat/VW FS for my Cupra 300 adding an extra 10,000 miles to existing 20,000 mile 24 month contract.

Just received the quote and they want £426 per month. That is compared to paying £259 per month currently (1+23)

Goodbye Leon and welcome to a random shed for a while

600 miles in and I’m absolutely loving the Cupra 290. Definitely quieter than the 300, but with the noise inside being generated in actually okay with it. I’m over 40 so don’t mind not sounding noisy outside biggrin

I had a 300 also with a 290 on the way. Starting to get cold feet about it. Is it worth sticking with it?

Mind me asking how long before the end of the lease you asked for the quote? Mine is due to end in April and was told they will contact me 6 months before the end, but would be keen to know the quote as soon as possible in case I want to lease something else with a long lead time.

Contract ends December. I asked a couple of weeks ago
