Mind me asking how long before the end of the lease you asked for the quote? Mine is due to end in April and was told they will contact me 6 months before the end, but would be keen to know the quote as soon as possible in case I want to lease something else with a long lead time.
6 months out, i phoned a few days before the 6 months date and was told they couldn’t do it till it was exactly 6 months out.

My Cupra is going back in less than 3 months, I just wanted to ask about inspection, I have a few scuffs on the wheels, how are they about this?

Do I need to get these fixed first?

Don't bother, it's £30~ a wheel if they do need refurbing, you'll pay at least double that.

So, does the 290 sound decent or......?

Pick mine up in 2 weeks coming from a 300 manual

I've watched a few videos and read write a few comments and the general consensus is that it's quieter than the 300, but after a few thousand miles it's gets a bit louder but still not 300 loud.

My 300 sounds like a gunshot when it echoes off a wall or hedge when changing up.

What colour have you gone for? Should be getting mine in 2 weeks too.

At 3k miles the sound improves massively as everything beds in. I added a resonator delete from Progressive Parts in Manchester which further improves things massively on the GPF (bronze badge 290) cars. Only £185 fitted and gives a deeper bassy tone with some more burbles and pops on the overrun.

It was stock the dealer had which is white. Bit gutted no DSG farts, but looking forward to the auto box as the manual clutch is made of chocolate.

What did you get?

had one of the original cupra deals that is just coming to the end of a 1 yr extension.

Requested another 12 months with a total mileage of 20k.... price has gone up to £280+VAT per month (I'm paying 180 including VAT now...)

Have requested a purchase price.... if that is similarly ridiculous it will be going back in Feb

I am currently on £259 a month and my extension quote was something daft like £435. They must be getting some crazy residuals to effectively stop you wanting to extend

White going back in place of a grey one this time. I'm a convert to DSG after 20 years manual.

I dont think they are holding price very well if you look at 2/3 year old cars. I reckon it's more to do with keeping the new cars rolling out, eg cheaper to get a new car than extend current car.

Well its backfired. Handing it back and buying a shed instead of getting another lease

I enquired about extending the lease on mine, out of curiosity really. Original lease was £293 per month, 1+23, 12k miles PA.

The extension quote on same terms jumped to £497 per month, so needless to say it went back.

I've now bought a £1500 shed, glad to be off the leasing train.
