I'm getting high 30's somehow....? Mixture of city and long distance. I'm around 600 miles on the clock so far.

Finally gave in and washed the car last night. The number plate on the rear was totally unreadable so saves being stopped by plod at the very least.

I have noticed though that after the wash and drying down that there are they odd lines of sticker residue in places, mainly the roof. They do come off but takes a bit to shift them. Anyone else noticed this?

I'd like to think they prepare all the cars equally, surely it's only in there interest to do so. That being said they may look upon leasing cars differently...?

On another subject I setup the car-net last night, slightly disappointed that it's no more than news feeds and Nav routes from your car-net app on your phone. I suspect app connect is where most of the useful features are, at a price..

To busy enjoying our cars wink

If anything pops up hopefully someone will post it up here or on the main leasing thread.

Does anyone know if you can set the g-meter up for peak readings? silly
Was looking for the same but for boost peaks. Doesn't seem to be anything to record peaks.

I have a manual and find it fine. The clutch is very light (compared to previous cars, Impreza's and RX7's). The gearbox I find is also nice and smooth, engages very easy in all gears. The only niggle for me is the seating position. I'm 6ft 5 and in all my other cars I have been able to get the driving position just right, but in the Golf I find my legs are more bent than I'd ideally like. It's not a deal breaker as I have adjusted to it now.

Looks good. Just needs the VWR wheels IMO now.

Just ticked over 1k miles. So roughly 1k miles in a month and a half. No faults or issues to speak of so far. Still playing with the idea of VWR wheels and springs but undecided. Will be a summer thing if I do go down that route. Also planning a Euro road trip all being well so need to call VW IIRC to arrange things.

You are probably best at just doing a lease deals search on google or trying the brokers most of us on here used, central vehicle leasing or national vehicle leasing.

A word about CVL, they are good up until the point where they have your money and then it's hard to get any replies out of them. That being said I am happy with my deal, they just need to work on there customer after sales.

About to tick over 2k miles here. Still have the modding bug in me that wants to lower it and swap the wheels but resisting for now...Find myself also using the ACC near all the time now also on the motorways.

Yes I've had the same "fun" with the sat nav sending me down all sorts of strange routes, including driving on to a woodland estate!? Must be a different option in the menu, mine is diefinitly not set to fastest route as the crow flys..

I've had no luck with the sat nav either. Very annoying you can't search by postcode. I did just notice mine was set to most direct route which would explain some of the strange routes it's taken me. Haven't used it since I've switched it to fastest route so will have to report back.

MPG seems good still on the long term.

All in all still happy with it, still tempted with some VWR alloys and lowering springs but holding off for now.

Been a while since I updated here so here goes.

So I'm on 5K miles now and it's been plain sailing so far. The only recent blip has been that the electric display in the middle of the gauages today decided to die. Tried a few on and offs but still nothing.

Called my local dealer but can't get in for 2 weeks. I did ask if these things were covered under warranty and was told they usually are but they can't say for certain until they have the car.

CVL, the deal is well long gone now I'm afraid. It was before the facelift came out.

I am thinking of extending my mileage also, pending figures. Just about to hit 10k, although I'm due to be away a good chunk of next year so might work out better paying the 6.2p excess.

Happy motoring here also, only the electrics seem to throw a fit now and then. Have lost the driver display in the main cluster for a day, then it came back the following day. Also the media unit lost all radio and sat nav signal one time, again it came back the following day. Odd.

I spoke to a dealer and he said not to bother until 20k? Or was it 15k? Either way i might not need to given my mileage.

Sounds crazy compared to our £95pm.

Only decent looking deal I’ve seen was the Golf R Estate with Nationwide, was £150pm 5k mileage and 1600k down.

Just had quick look and seems as if it’s gone back up in price, unless another broker has it on offer??

2500 down, 5k mileage, 2 years, 6.2p excess mileage. With CVL.
