CVL = Central Vehicle Leasing. It's where most of these orders for GTi's has come from. They ran the deal at the beginning of this thread but has now gone up in price.

I was going to send a email to CVL regarding the large difference in delivery time from what was quoted to what VW have said, but it's probably not going to make much difference now. It could still come forward a bit to technically.

On the plus side if you do see another white one on the road there's a chance they might be on this thread.

Anyone know what tires they fit as OEM? A bit of googling only brought up customer cars in the U.S which are a right mixture from Dunlop sport maxx, Continentals and Pirelli's. I'm assuming it will be something premium at the very least. If not I might try and pick up some Yokohama AD08 R's during the winter sales to put on for the summer.

I plan on taking the car for a few fun drives over the evo triangle and around the Yorkshire moors so don't mind paying a bit extra for some sticky rubber.

Especially now I'm without a weekend toy due to baby duties, this will take up some of the slack.

Lastest build date for me is slightly better than next year now. 1st week in December.

You need to go to the contact link at the bottom of the page. Then just open the live chat link.

Your order number doesn't currently show any info on the tracker for your info.

I wouldn't take that initial build date to seriously, most of us have had our dates shortened by at least a month or so since the first date was given.

I ordered the Tuesday, but looks like mine is a month later. Guess it's down to when the dealers put the orders through.

Checked today and still provisional build of week commencing 5/12. Advisor said if it does move forward it might only be by a week at the most at this date, so looks pretty set for a New Years delivery unless it's shipped over quicker.

Only thing that bothers me is CVL's predicted delivery times previous to committing to the order. If you are going to tell a customer a piece of, well deal making info to some of us, at least make sure the facts are right. I wasn't even given a worst case delivery date, just 6-8 weeks.

You live and learn. Still looking forward to it that being said.

From what I've heard the tracker doesn't change from the 2nd stage until 2-3 weeks from the build slot. Mine is the same but have a provisional build of week 49.

I wouldn't mind collecting mine if it wasn't for the dealer being in Cardiff. Wonder if they will waver the fuel and mileage if I did.....?

Don't know myself, best to ask the dealer the car is coming from I would think.

Non maintained here.

Not sure the service intervals on these but if the oil needs doing I'll send it in to the dealers so they can put fresh stuff in and turn the service indicator off. Anything else like brakes I'll do myself. Tires, I plan on picking up some premium rubber for the summer during the winter sales.

Looks like your and my cars are about the same place in the queue. Did you also order from Dave at Aylesbury VW?
Afraid not, mine is from Keith at CVL.

2 more months to go if things go to schedule, probably more like January though..

I'm still happy with the deal, don't get me wrong. Just like others though, I'm just a bit annoyed that they don't give you the worst case scenario and instead just say 6-8 weeks.

This might not interest all but just watched a little compare vid by YouTuber Shmee on the current Golf GTi & R. I must confess I didn't watch past the GTi bit having already been in a R, but something to fill the coffee break.

Build week finally confirmed as week 48 , 28/11.

The live chat adviser did mention the tracker has been having some problems recently.

Delivery before the new year?? Be nice!
