Is yours showing as confirmed on the tracker as well?
No still says with the factory but the live advisor on the VW site said it was confirmed now and the tracker should update in a few days.

I seem to remember reading on here about a members previous build, on the breakdown of the build stages it arrived with him a month after the build.

Possibly luck of the draw given the amount of variables when it comes to shipping.

Sounds like a few of us are on the same week of the 28th.

Same for me, live chat was w/c 5th tracker now showing 28/11.

It's probably been covered on here before but to save me scrolling back, I ordered through NVS and the car is going to VW in Newcastle, will they deliver to me or is it my job to collect? Are there costs involved? (I'm in Derbyshire)
Depends on what was stated in your contract when you signed up in terms of delivery costs. Mine is with CVL and is free delivery. I would imagine yours will also be free as most are, but double check with NVL to be certain.

I'm in Derbyshire also but mine is going to Cardiff VW.

i'm build week 48 too 28/11.

I'm hoping the new facelift gti doesn't come with a power increase...but then again, it probably wont be available at the dirt cheap prices either. fingers crossed
It's a shame that VW don't offer the performance pack upgrade as a dealer fit option, without the diff. I'm sure it's just a map tweak and a freeer flowing air filter for the power gains.

That's the reason I never went for it. Far easier and cheaper ways going aftermarket.

I know modding a lease is a big no no due to voiding warranties and such. Shame because I wouldn't mind adding a decent panel filter and a more fruity cat back system.

For those who are curious about the facelift model coming up,

http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/2017-vo...

Pending the press release there's nothing in autocars review that puts me off the current one. The virtual dash would be nice but as it's most likely to be an option I'd stick with the standard dials.

As above, I'm sure most of the nice bits will be extras, and far from £95 a month biggrin

Puts a new meaning to the saying "hoping for a white Xmas", unless you are one of the none white spec'd cars.

Wish mine was being delivered by truck instead of someone driving it 180 odd miles to my house from the dealer. Would be nice to put the first miles on it myself.

Same here (160mi). Annoying that the delivery miles come off my annual allowance too but oh well.
Your kidding?! That's not on. Who's your through?

I was told delivery miles are excatly that, for delivery only. It doesn't come off the annual mileage in my deal.

Not long to go now for some it sounds.

My mind has been taken off mine for now as the wife is getting me to sort her new lease out. Keeping my fingers crossed for a Xmas delivery for the GTi but probably more likely to be the new year.

Just had a little look at what prices people are putting the GTi's out at, couldn't see any 5k prices but on 8k a year NVC want £352 with 2k up front over 24 months, assuming it's a pre-facelift model. Madness.

Going to have to avoid this thread for a while with so many cars turning up soon. Still over a month to go for mine...not that I'm counting.

Just a heads up to everyone awaiting their documents from VWFS.

I just got mine through from the dealer and they have listed my excess mileage rate as 9 ppm (plus VAT).

I was one of the lucky ones to get in before the price increase, so was expecting it to be 6 ppm (plus VAT). I'm currently trying to sort this out so will keep you posted how I get on.

If anyone is expecting theirs to be the lower rate just make sure it is before you sign anything!
Nice heads up. I am also on the lower rate mileage.

Just got my paperwork through as well and it also states the 9p + VAT mileage rate even though I was quoted 6p + VAT. The other thing is the initial deposit and cashback amount are also different even though the total deposit works out the same. I've put the queries back to CVL so will see what they come back with but read the paperwork carefully!!
Let us know what CVL say, I have a feeling mine will be the same.

My excess mileage saga is not progressing well...

I'm still digging my heels in, and CVL are doing what they can but VWFS don't seem to be budging.

The crux of the matter is that my application was approved on the 3rd (pre-increase), my order was sent on the 4th (the day of the increase), although VW have honoured the original pricing they are not honouring the original excess.

This isn't the introduction to leasing that I was hoping for, and not really sure what my options are (if any). I don't really want to reject the car over this, but my contract is 5k per annum and I will easily be doing 10k per year so it makes a big difference. I'd worked it all out to be better value taking the lower contracted mileage and paying the excess rather than having a higher mileage from the outset (plus its more flexible if my circumstances change).
That's not great news. I think I'll be cancelling my order if the excess is not honoured. My reasons for the lease were much the same as yours, including the extra 3k or so mileage with it working out better under the 7.2p excess. I realise I'll loose the handling fee plus a months rental at this stage.

I hope mine is different but time will tell.

I've just spoken to CVL to question the matter in case it presents itself when my paperwork turns up. They said they would look in to it and call me back shortly. I did say I would be cancelling if the deal wasn't what was printed.

There could be a lot of cancelled orders at this rate if the rates are not returned to the original excess.

Reading the SEAT thread it does seem to show they had the same issue, seems the issue is with VWFS, but as mentioned it does look like it was resolved.
