I nearly ordered them but by the time I had decided to add them it would delay the car.
How do you find the LEDs that it comes with as standard? I'm in the same position now as you were - debating about whether it's worth adding them or not!!
Very good, the auto dip is as fast as you could expect it to be and makes decisions well.

But we are now getting to the time of year when I will regret it or not! To me it was a big appeal being able to see my side of the road with other stuff coming.

Nothing negative to say about the Autowatch Ghost. The car will start but you cannot select drive or reverse without entering the code. Sure they can break in but they wont be able to take it and wont come back again. After my experience I would rather know the car cannot go anywhere and avoid all the hassle that goes with a stolen car.
I still use a steering lock, have CCTV, new house alarm, drive post, 2 security floodlights etc.
So is that the one where you have to press a sequence of steering wheel controls, or do you have an actual keypad? Also, are deterrent windows stickers provided?

No stickers were given
Correction - stickers were given. just found them this morning.

I was given stickers but declined to use them - they were in the box with the warranty card.
The app for the Ghost is absolutely amazing and I am just in the habit of making sure it's running in the background when I'm leaving or walking back to the car.
Installed for £350 in Watford on a Saturday morning (if you want installer details pm me).

My stickers are not going on either. I think its a great product personally. Well worth the money.

Great, thanks good to know the standard spec are good too - just need to make my mind up now if want to go for the matrix or save a bit of money on the monthly payments! 😀

I didnt have them on my first S5 (the one that got stolen) and now have them. Personally I wouldnt spec them. Non matrix lights still light the road :-) Maybe keep the monthly lower or look at a different option that may bring more benefit day to day for similar money. Or if your going for standard paint take an optional colour.
Just my view - i know others really like the matrix lights.

Has anyone on here got the Pan Roof?
Given the cost I doubt anyone ticked this option for a lease but if you did does it creak squeek and rattle or is it fine? Interested to know experience from others.

Any ideas on what engine oil is recommended for a top up?

I've got the pan roof. No issues encountered so far! Quite nice letting extra light in and looks great on the navarra blue. I didn't spec it on my order but the dealer had an S5 due which had it so ended up paying £400 extra for it and taking that order.

Yeah I agree it does look good and really adds light but mine creaks when closed and has a faint rattle when open. I wonder if because it was sat at a dealer for several months the rubber seals have dried out. As for the rattle when open ill need to flag it with a dealer. I open it quite a lot though

Thanks for that, think I'm going to stick with the standard LEDs., all the reports seem to be pretty good and they'll be a step up from the Xenon's I've got on the current car, which are good anyway...

I'll put the money saved towards the GAP insurance or on some kind of tracker/security...😀

Has anybody been stung with expensive delivery costs? G2L want to charge me £120 to transport the car from Audi Sheffield to Leeds. Clearly I'm going to pick it up - a taxi would be cheaper!

Thats BS - Audi Sheffield transported the car to me free of charge so they are talking BS. It will be through JCT600 I expect so I would reach out to them directly and bypass G2L.

GAP INSURANCE.

Guys, sorry to slightly derail this thread. I used a clever discount method that was discussed at a relatively early stage in this thread for my GAP insurance on my Audi S5.
I have just purchased a 12-month-old Evoque for my wife and tried to find the advice on this thread that led me to get the decent discount but can't seem to find which page it on. If anyone can remember either which pages or can repeat the advice I would be very grateful.

For those that are waiting for your S5 - I can assure you it is worth the wait. I have had my now since the beginning of April and have just done 6000 miles and still love it. In fact struggling to find any faults. Fuel economy is better than first expected, I managed an average of 26 MPG, mainly cross-country a roads and B roads with a pretty heavy foot and a once a month 400 mile round trip motorway journey. I suspect if I used it for stop start you need the MPG would probably fall fairly rapidly.
Putting MPG to one side (which is clearly not the car strong point), everything else is really good, I have virtual cockpit and privacy glass that no other extras and dope dealers missing anything in particular. Really impressed with the standard headlights, quality of the interior is fantastic, slightly disappointing exhaust noise but mainly due to a fairly well insulated car. Very comfortable and rapid enough.

Anyone had problem with putting private plate at first registration with VWFS?

I bought new plate, made VWFS nominee, sent documents to the dealer and was told today that they are not able to register it. Got email stating this: "AFRAL (VW taxing system) isn’t accepting your private registration document. This happens to about 1 in 100 registrations." Was told that they called DVLA and were told it's the way VWFS name is put as nominee. I suspect it's the parenthesis in the name: Volkswagen Financial Services (UK) Limited

Was told the only way is to register car on 67 plate and then change it to private which make it pointless to me as I wanted to hide the age of the car from beginning, don't care about having private plate. Luckily it's 10th working day since I bought the plate so requested refund from DVLA.

Wow, my transfer was slow but it did happen with VWFS. I had a retention document and just signed it without putting VWFS on it anywhere.

They probably put their name themselves. I assume it wasn't first registration?

Do you mean check out the ALA price with the piston12 discount, then go to Total Loss Gap and see what their price is. If it is less then ALA will price match plus give a discount.
