The S5 lease thread
Discussion
Evening all,
So the grapvine tells me that my city has had a recent spate of Audi thefts, few nights of 4-5 cars going and it got me to thinking about additional security/deterents. All thefts with keys after burglary. I dont plan to hide the keys, I would just rather they passed mine by to pick an easier one.
What are your thoughts?
House CCTV?
Physical devices? Stoplock? (will be opened with keys)
Trackers?
Other expensives devices?

If you decide to go for an M4 I'd really be interested to see some pics as it's a car that's on my list too

Talking about M4s, believe it or not I've bought one today! I made the decision to cancel the S5 and within 4 hours I'd put a deposit down on the M4 and I should have it within a week or so!
It's brand new, but already built and ready to be registered so no VED hike.
It's a competition pack car in Tanzanite blue with opal white interior (pimp style ) with carbon trim and some decent options.
I'll get some pics up when it arrives, but won't derail this thread any further.
I'm pleased to see you have a date for your S5 now. I can't believe what a long drawn out process it's been with Audi for some people.
Audi really have been terrible with their lead times.
A mate of mine ordered a brand new Mercedes C43 Amg in Jan and received it last week with all the options. I ordered my S5 SB on Nov 21st and still don't know when it will be delivered. Estimated back end of April....But just fed up of the wait and lack of clarity.

Really nice colour you've chosen and to be honest, I don't think I've seen one in that colour as yet! (Most seem to be the Yas Marina blue)
Those things look soooo mean with the competition pack too. I'm very envious mate. Congratulations!!!

It's apparently waiting to be shipped, but been there for over a week. No indication from anyone at Sheffield Audi as to when it will actually get on the ship. Same dealership that told me not to trust the Audi tracker as apparently that's all innaccurate too.audia530tdi said:

That's crazy. Regardless of what delivery date you were given, how on Earth it can take well over a month from arriving at Emden to finally receiving the car is anyone's guess.Still, I suppose anything's possible if cars can get stuck in QC for nearly a month.

I just use a decent stop lock and block it in with the wifes polo gti. all keys are taken up to bed. Nice upgrade on the S5 that's for sure, how did the deal stack up compared to the S5? I'm guessing alot more expensive ?Talking about M4s, believe it or not I've bought one today! I had an attempted break in a few months ago. I added snaplock barrels to all doors, CCTV and security lights to the house. Always used a disclock so would recommend that too. I've heard a few people mention Autowatch Ghost (tracker) so maybe worth looking into the as well. To be honest if they really want it they will get it one way or another but it's best to deter them as much as possible and stay vigilante at all times, especially when coming home.

Great spec and im sure you will love it! Personally pref the M3 styling wise but you have a belter in regards to colour and spec there
I like the M3 myself, but the only ones available were black/black and Yas Marina/black, which doesn't appeal to me.ODRALLAG said:

To lease direct from BMW with this spec' on 24 months 10k miles was £10,000 upfront then £1,300/month, which is absolutely crazy, so I've bought it instead. It was approximately £70k including options but there are discounts to be had, so a little under £60k all in with service pack, etc.
