Has anybody been stung with expensive delivery costs? G2L want to charge me £120 to transport the car from Audi Sheffield to Leeds. Clearly I'm going to pick it up - a taxi would be cheaper!
Thats BS - Audi Sheffield transported the car to me free of charge so they are talking BS. It will be through JCT600 I expect so I would reach out to them directly and bypass G2L. Anybody have a name to contact at JCT600 Sheffield regarding lease deliveries?

Any ideas on what engine oil is recommended for a top up?
I got this a while ago in preparation. Blooming good price at mo for 1l.If you check out Audi’s website it suggests this and it depends on your service plan too. I am just gonna do what the car tells me it needs re: service
Castrol Edge 5w - 30 Professional LongLife III, 1L https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00O4361UW/ref=cm_sw_r...

Audi Swansea delivered my car all the way to Harrogate without any charge - nearly 300 miles! I'd tell them where to goPenelopaPitstop said:
Anyone had problem with putting private plate at first registration with VWFS?
I bought new plate, made VWFS nominee, sent documents to the dealer and was told today that they are not able to register it. Got email stating this: "AFRAL (VW taxing system) isn’t accepting your private registration document. This happens to about 1 in 100 registrations." Was told that they called DVLA and were told it's the way VWFS name is put as nominee. I suspect it's the parenthesis in the name: Volkswagen Financial Services (UK) Limited
Was told the only way is to register car on 67 plate and then change it to private which make it pointless to me as I wanted to hide the age of the car from beginning, don't care about having private plate. Luckily it's 10th working day since I bought the plate so requested refund from DVLA.
I had my car delivered with the '17 plate on it, then had the Sales Manager at the dealership do the swap for me. I just emailed him a scan of my retention document and he did it in about 10 minutes with no charge. I scanned mine and emailed VWFS...took them ages.Stephen-25tl4 said:

I guess it depends how good and knowledgable is the sales/admin person. They had all required documents. I gave up and have refund for private plate on a way. I also asked for the car to registered from 30/09/2017. Then got documents with registration date of 29/09 which was fine, but it was registered today. So it's a second time I'm losing 5 days of my contract. The same happened with previous Audi. I will see how the collection goes. Edited by PenelopaPitstop on Monday 25th September 20:28

Much nicer than the RS5Just a quick snippet from me about S5 ownership (er, drivership).
Found myself in parking on the M5 as darkness fell last night, a tailback from a lorry fire. I was parked up in the S5 in Lane 3 for about an hour. And as an experience it was completely stress free compared to previous cars I've had. Treated myself to a gentle seat massage. Read tweets on the Audi Connect screen (silly). Played around with my Spotify via Android Auto. Dialled friends and family using the thumb wheel and the absolutely excellent UI. Simply effortless. And then coming from 20 years of manual 'boxes, as traffic started to move again, having the auto made it so easy. In my TT, or my 996, or anything else, I'd have got home grumpy and with a sore ankle from the clutch work you get with start, crawl 5 metres, stop.
I'm over 5000 miles in now. The exhaust tenor is pitched just right, its not too chav in dynamic. Matrix lights are brilliant tech. And the cabin is simply the best available right now in this car class.
Loving everything about the car and the lease, except for the hesitation which I notice every now and again. I want them to patch it out!

I'd pretty much agree with all of that. I deffo would not return to a manual when the lease is up. A friend has a new lease on an C63s AMG and this has unfortunately got me now twitching for a change....it's an amazing car albeit a bit loud and no AWD.Found myself in parking on the M5 as darkness fell last night, a tailback from a lorry fire. So imagine a coupe or SB with the S5 interior, C63s AMG engine, & M4 handling........
Not denying the M4 will be better but now I am more confident with the S5 it really does handle well IMO. Unlike the Golf R I came from where I had to get it to understeer and then add more power to make the haldex system wake up this seems far more neutral and I haven't got it understeering badly when driving at safe levels on the road (IMO). Far far better than the B8 S4 I had in this respect.TomScrut said:
