It is a good deal compared with the RRP. Shame they don't do a sportback yet.
Indeed. It's still £32K over 4 years, and unlike a lease you'll pay to tax it, and have a lot more servicing costs over that period. Last year has no warrranty and needs MOT, too...

It'll be interesting to see what updated broker prices are, with that deposit contribution.
Yes, 4 year deals do not appeal to me for that reason.....potentially very costly.

But you could trade it in or sell it in 2 years. You would have paid of nearly 30k (including the dealers 11k contribution) so you should be positive equity. Now that's a rarity in this type of car!

Dealer prices (I know that's not accurate) on 2014/15,rs5s are between 32-40k. Low mileage 2015/16s are around 43-45k. Even if you took 5k off the prices you should still be in positive equity after 2 years.

Sorry, but you're being very optimistic. After 2 years, you've paid £14376 in 'monthlies' but nearly £5K of that is interest. So you're still owing around £40K on the finance.

Fleetnews suggests a shocking residual of just £28K after 2years/20K miles, which - if accurate - puts you in £12K negative equity. Not a bet I'd want to take.

Thank god for PH forums.....as other posters can put things in a perspective to consider before any costly mistakes are made.

I think we all have that problem, the older we get the worse it gets!

Is anyone else having an issue with squealing brakes? With the windows closed it's only just noticeable, but with the driver's window down it's awful... it must be very obvious to pedestrians. Makes me feel like a bit of a tt. Going to give 'local' Audi garage a call but it would be good to know whether it's a common thing...

Just wondering I think MOTs are 4 years now? Do you have to get one before handing even if it was due around the time of handing back? Thanks

Didn't know MOT's are changing to 4 years??.......either way if an MOT is due you HAVE to have it MOT'd on return. They will send you a written reminder anyway.

That makes total, albeit mildly embarrassing, sense. I've been driving like a girl (am I allowed to say that any more?) for the last few weeks. It's even been in 'eco' mode for most of that period.

In essence, I need to grow a pair biggrin

No, and they won't be for a while. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/industry/four-y...

Makes perfect sense to me. Car might still be mechanically sound after 4 years but if some bulbs are out, worn brakes or tyres then it will of course fail. So many people only realise at an MOT failure because they check nothing and just drive it.

I have ordered the new dtuk tuning box with Bluetooth app. Once fitted I will post a review.

I think it's the same as the old module but easier as now you can change maps easily on app and when you change the car you can simply update the module from your phone. (probably need new cables/connections)

Good stuff!!....performance is very similar to the TDI box. Will be good to hear your verdict on it as no one I know of has as yet. The app sounds good as well.

BTW, DTUK & TDI boxes can be programmed for different SENT cars, but you have to buy a new set of specific connectors which is no big deal.

The new dtuk box can be programed for 100s of different cars, not just SENT ones. Don't even need to send box in as can do it on the app. It's the only reason I bought it with only 9 months left of lease. Will still need the connectors though

Thought I'd share my excitement as I'm due to collect my new S5 Sportback (Brilliant Black) on Monday. It's actually at the dealer, but due to the snow/weather they won't release it to me for safety reasons. Understandable and protects me from own eagerness!

Best insurance options seem to be with LV who offer extra discount for AEB. I've checked and they will accept Audi pre-sense city as AEB.

Come on Monday!!!!! biggrin

Nice one, shame about the snow holding up delivery though. Post some pictures when you can.
