Does anyone think vwfs would allow a lease extension? Would be interested in the price to buy if offered

They often do by all accounts for both situations you speak of

How about this for a crazy deal I saw today. BMW 740Ld M Sport. That's an £83k car and £465 a month with about £4k ish up front based on 8000 miles a year and 24 month term.
They must be replacing it so getting rid of stock. A lot of car for the money.

£14.4K outlay for 8k p/a, 2 years for the C43. My S4 is £10.4K outlay for 11k p/a, 2 years. Fingers crossed PCH deals come back to life soon!!
Wow that was a good deal. I'd like to see one like that pop up again.
Current cost of an S5 over 2 years with 8000 miles is closer to £18k. The S4 isn't a huge difference in price at the moment.
Thee was a great deal about 3 months ago on the S4 and I was told after the deal ended there was a mistake made by VWFS on future values but they agreed to honour any deals already in place.

Well, I'm probably going to be first to jump off the S5 lease wagon train. As per my last post I've been lusting after a Mustang ever since they came out UK spec in 2016, but was unable to get the figures to stack up given the opportunities for relativity cheep leases like the S5 at the time.

As you might be aware Ford are pushing hard at the moment to get the MY17's out the door with 0% finance and discounts, which all of a suddenly makes the ownership of one in line with the S5, but the pain is these cars need to be registered by the end of September.

So using some man maths, I've actually saved money....hehe Stick with me here.

Phoned Audi and yes it's 55% of the remaining payments if you want to terminate, I'll have 5 more payments to make after October, which coincidentally will be the same cost as a new set of tyres (cough, man maths, cough), which I'll definitely need around that time, so I've decided to go for it, put a deposit down on one yesterday, got a further discount after some umming and awwing and an increased GFV due to it being the Shadow Edition with all the toys, this makes a new (MY17) one cheaper (if your financing) than a 2nd hand one, and a lot cheaper than a MY18. (Cough, more man maths, cough, cough...I've actually saved thousands, go me!)

So, come October I'll be giving up my practical Quatro sportback, for a 2 door RWD muscle car with one less seat in the back which would struggle to fit the wee beardy guy from Game of Thrones and an Ewok in the rear seats, despite my ever growing children ...just in time for the snow and constant greasy wet roads, WTF is wrong with me!

Needless to say this is almost a lifetime dream to own a muscle car, so I'm pretty exited.....now to tell my wife...or will I just turn up in it, "What, this, no, cars always been red, and had 2 doors", she found out about the S5 when the invoice dropped through the door, so i'll need to do better this time.

Plus I've a couple of months to pull out once the adrenaline calms down, Race Red Mustang GT, not very "business" is it? biggrin .

Mines not up for another 18 months, but thinking about changes already. Not sure whether to buy the S5 or lease a Range Rover Velar (or Sport) as I do fancy a nice large 4x4, but we will see. Another thing that's caught my eye and is completely different is a C63S ! confused

I'm thinking of the Santander deals on the Volvo V60 T5 and the V90 CC T5. Saves me some money on the S5 and they are a nice car.

What deals are they Tom?

The two I am interested in are the T5 V60 Momentum which is 292.99 on 1+17 10kpa and the V90 CC T5 which is 359.99 on same terms. Go on CH&L and search there are loads of specs on there from them

Tempting! But not close to an S5 but a chance to save a few hundred each month.

No direct experience but when I called Audi finance with my mileage update they said options would be on the table 6 months prior to hand back. I think they also mentioned a 3 month guaranteed extension. Plus if you have a group car ordered they would allow for a switchover which is cool. I will be ready to call them come Oct 1st but it does depend on the numbers I guess. Would be nice also not to pay a fresh deposit on a new lease so I will factor that in too smile

Exactly. Nothing is ticking the S5 box at the moment at any sensible money, and I would rather have a large comfortable car with less performance than a hot hatch that would get on my nerves on the motorway after the S5. So with one of these I can save some decent money and possibly get something more fruity next time round.
