So my car is 12 months old and at 9500 miles but no sign of a service indicator yet.
Did your cars flash up a warning or indicator? If so what mileage?

I am thinking of getting the service done asap anyway - what kind of price have you all paid?

Up to 15,500 miles here (2 weeks short of a year) and still 3200 to go for the oil and 3600 for the inspection according to the computer.

It's 2y/19000 rolling down with use so you'll be ok for a while. I think mine got to 15000 at just over a year old.

I’m booked in for some fast pit lane oil change at West London Audi tomorrow. Done 12000 miles 17 months in. Managed to get a little off but ringing around 240 quid I think

Bit of news on the contract adjustment on the S4 this week ( The S4 thread seems to have died a death and this is a lease thread so I thought it better here.
Going from 20k total to 30k total mileage is costing 12 p per mile.
I had the maintenance package so my excess mileage would have been 25p per mile, a bit of a result I reckon.

Wow that's a good deal. My S5 I went from 20k to 28k total and it was 12.8p non maintained. Still way better than the 15 odd p on excess.

The maintenance went up 2p a month. Not used any tyres in 15k so maybe they look at individual accounts

Has anyone enquired about extending there lease? I know you can extend it for 3 months and monthly payments stay the same but wondering if anyone has enquired about a 12 month extension or something similar.

Lease deals seem to have dried up so extending may be the best option...

Yeah I am considering asking about doing a 6 months at least. Lead times seem crazy at the minute and the only deals I have seen have either been not a car I really wanted (V90 CC, Arteon 190 2.0 TFSI) or too dear when adding miles (530e M Sport). But I think by the time the lead times settle and the demand has dropped I will already be needing a new car. Golf R lead times are such that it will be November time to order for April as it stands but whether they are good value or not I will have to see at the time. S4 has an impending facelift so will be interesting to see if anything comes of that.

This is the thing. I can't see any deals where we get this type of car for the money we are currently paying so for me it makes sense extending as long as the payments don't go up too much or even better drop down a bit. I read somewhere they calculate them depending on their initial forecast and how that's actually played out - depreciation etc

Let me know what they say re the extension and I'll post once I receive some figures from them.

In a golf r till June - I will either be extending or (fingers crossed) hoping for some lease deals on the S4/S5 sportback.

I had 6 months down, fully maintained 6+23 based on 10k per year.

I am a year in and just tried to change it to 24k total mileage as I have done 15k in the first year. I also obtained a quote for 30k total mileage, both of which are below. Some jump and can't decide what is best as also tempted to extend but cannot quote until inside last 6 months of lease!

12K -

Moves from a total of £439.09 to £529.71 a month. A difference of £90.62 a month for the remaining term.

15K -

Moves from a total of £439.09 to £592.00 a month. A difference of £152.91 a month for the remaining term.

My Excess mileage rate remains the same regardless at 21.64ppm (I think this is VAT Inclusive) So based on this, the above options are cheaper.

Hi I got a standard email re: car handback in March and inspection. It does appear it will go to auction. Would love to know what price it would go for - I’ll be there maybe!
I will call tomorrow about lease extension and see what the deal is. Anyhow else discussed this?

Yes got a letter last week and an email today. Have emailed back asking what the extension options are. Also pointed out that my 2 year lease, when the term is up, will have paid off the extras so I don't expect to continue paying for them. Doubt that will come to anything but nothing ventured.....
Will post what I get back and interested what other early adopters are being offered to extend.

Worth trying for another quote - I found on my Golf R lease that I asked for a 12 month extension and got a price almost 60 per month higher. Left it 2 months asked for another quote and it was 11 per month higher.

Will be very interested to hear what they come back with. I'm on a 2 year lease and considering extended... so will be in the same boat as you next year.
