Hello Everyone,
Sorry for the Blatant Sales Pitch/
Don't forget you can do a free 30 day ad for parts. https://www.pistonheads.com/selfservice/parts-and-...

What are you replacing the S5 with, BTW? I thought those boxes can be reconfigured for other cars...

Thanks, I'll post on there.

Unfortunately I'm going for something very boring (XF sportbrake) as I need something practical. I'll get something more fun next year!

Hello Everyone,

Its been a fair while since I posted here! Sorry for the Blatant Sales Pitch

Anyone want to buy a DTUK Box? its the newer Bluetooth model for the B9 S5/S4. You can set all the different modes and power on your phone. I tend to set it on a smoother setting and it still pulls amazing... so so much better than standard. Sort of made me fall in love with the car all over again.

Anyway, my car goes back in a month so the box has to go. Its a simple plug and play. Takes me about 10 minutes to put on and place wires in neatly and only 2 minutes to whip it off (like before its last service).

Never created any flags on car. Had it double checked by one of my mates at Audi and he could find no trace of it whatsoever.

Anyway... Cost me £650 9 months ago.

Boxed and ready to go £325 + postage. (Or if you fancy coming to me in Ayr Scotland then ill fit it for you!)

please pass this on to anyone else who is interested.

Think I replied direct to email. Piston head's isn't the most intuitive so let me know if you don't get an email!

Has anyone done an exhaust mod to their s5? Would like to make it a tiny bit louder ??
Most are leased on here so its a no go due to warranty implications etc

How many miles have you done? It gets noticeably louder after around 7/8k
It does make it a bit louder on all modes as the valve remains open. I have unplugged mine. I would say warranty implications would depend on whether what you do has caused a fault on the car. It does thrown up a couple of errors on the OBDeleven reader and it comes back after clearing it

I have done the exhaust mod as well. At the last service they spotted the taped off plugs and just put a note that they should be plugged back in (but they didn't plug them back in)

If I had remembered, I would have plugged them back in myself!

No codes with me. Sounds a bit louder than stock and means that the exhausts get dirty at the same rate!

QQ.....I've had my S5 since August and I notice the steering is a bit on the piss.(ie. If I centre the steering wheel the car drifts to the left) Is this something that is warranted by Audi and I can take it into them to sort out?

Was it like that when you picked it up? Or have you clanged into a massive pothole...

Does it pull to the left, or is the wheel just fitted wonkily?

Sounds like the tracking is off.

FYI if you go to Audi to sort they'll charge you an extortionate fee for it - something in the region of £400 I believe.

Sod that I'll find a wheel alignment place to sort it. I've done less than 5k miles and noticed it around 3k mark. It doesn't wildly drift to the left just a little and I tolerated it as I've been busy at work but time to sort it!

Mine is leased, put on a Milltek non res cat back with 100mm tail pipes....sounds fantastic and like it should. Told AUDI who said fine as long as it is returned with the original on no problem,,,same with the 20" wheels. Had to tell insurance company as well.

Hi leasers,

I've had a quote back from VWFS for a 10,000 mileage extension. I've 5 months remaining of the contract, they've quoted an extra £249 per month, which after the £60 admin fee is added, equates to 13.06 ppm.

If my notes are correct, this is a smidgen higher than the existing contract, which says the excess mileage rate is 12.98 ppm.

Any thoughts on the maths if I don't accept the quote, and were to drive up to 30k over the next 5 months?

12.98 is the pre vat value IIRC? I know mine works out at about 15p with vat but the lease worked to about 12.5p if I increased miles.

For anyone wanting an extension quote, here is the link - https://www.audifinance.co.uk/en/private_customers...

If you have non maintained they can quote over the phone, with maintenance, they have to quote by email only.

Well it will be cheaper than the excess mileage?

I am hoping that is the case. Currently monthly based on 10k, 2 year, fully maintained and 6 months up front is £439.09 and excess mileage rate is 25.97 pence including VAT mainly due to the maintenance cost. I have requested quotes for various mileages over the additional 12 month term as it is likely I will be travelling more.
