Hi, I'm in the process of booking my S4 in for an oil change service. The leasing agreement states it has to be an audi dealer that carries out the work. Did you get confirmation from the finance company that the garage is approved?
No sign of IJB1959 for a few months, and his last contribution hasn't aged well frown

As there's no such things as "Audi approved garages" I'd take it with a pinch of salt. If your leasing agreement says you must use "Audi main dealer", that's what it means. Other leasing companies may have looser requirements, but if you don't service it in accordance with the agreement you can get stung with a charge when the car is returned.

Yeah, I've drawn my own conclusions from that last post of his...I've got it booked in for a first service at an Audi dealer for £199, which isn't great, but still cheaper than the £300-400 quotes some are quoted.

Hi all,

Just wrapping up my time on this thread. My S4 went back on Friday. BCA collected, nice guy, plenty of damage on one accident site across rear wheelarch and onto door, scuffs on all wheels, scratch/ dent in rear bumper and a couple of things he didn't bother noting and came to £280. Was expecting much worse so will just get on with it.
The bigger deal is that there was no flag on the servicing after I manually re-set the oil service notice to align with the first full service. Due to me handing back early I didn't get the car serviced once in the 21 months/ 16k miles it was with me. Only costs were insurance, fuel and tyres (two new, two part-worns to hand it back with).

Loved my time with the S4, the family will miss it but everyone is thoroughly happy with the A35 replacement we've got for the next two years. V6 to 4 isn't ideal re: noise, but most other aspects are a step up (S4 was standard, A35 is Premium Plus). A35 doesn't pull on the motorway in the same way though that's for sure. Fingers crossed I have a shot at an 8 cylinder in two years before the world calls time on them! smile

Finally getting round to deleting the Audi apps on my phone and thought I'd see if the car was still registered.

I'm sad to see that my S5 that was picked up more than 2 months ago hasn't turned another mile. If they'd not have thrown £300 per month extra on the lease I'd have extended it and they wouldn't have had a car sat there.

I've found it for sale at Caffyns Worthing (although it was a Sheffield dealer it was leased from) for £100 less than the purchase offer made when the lease was coming to an end.

They've refurbed the alloys and put new tyres on (tyres I managed to eek out for 21k miles before handing back).

I'd love to know what it finally sells for.

It took 4 months to sell my ex-S8 and price went down £8K from VWFS price. S5 won't go down that much, depends how many is on the market and if it's flooded.

I plan to return my A8 next year and see where it comes up on a market. With 3 years old car, Audi will give it 1-2 year warranty on used one, so it should be better than just buying directly from VWFS. Of course it can go to small trader and no extra warranty at all.

I don't do second hand cars but its a bargain really. I've looked on Audi Used for my 17 plate and although there are a load of S5 sportbacks, mine isn't there.

Did any one see traffic cops yesterday? Channel 5. Some s5 driven like nothing I have seen. Utterly crazy driving. Car was leaving police for dust until he ran out of skill.
Police officer said it was the fastest pursuit he was involved in, and the s5 is a high powered organised crime or drug dealers motor frown

Just had another formal extension through. The cost per month (for 6 months) is £1510.55.

Not sure what planet VWFS are on. Why would anyone pay an extra £1,200 a month for a 2 year old S5?

Yay! Grade A report on return from BCA. I can sleep easy now.
Just the overmileage to pay for and an argument about who pays for the delivery mileage no doubt.

The point of that offer is - nobody in their right mind smile The computer has crunched some numbers and it simply means they want their car back.

Yeah they deffo wanted the car back. The numbers dont seem to make any sense - I started asking for quotes 6 months out and they jumped all over the place from the same as my current price, slightly less then way over a grand then back down under my current price.

The VWFS computer is a mad mad thing!

Wasn’t your former s5 as it was white, but no mention about it been stolen either. Driver was locked up for 8 years mostly down to drugs offences as the passenger got something like 6 years too!

Morning All,

Having extended my S5 for another 12 months, I added another 10k as I was on 10k per year. Total mileage for 3 years = 30k.

My initial payments for first two years £360, third year, £291!.

Just worked out my mileage has risen and called VWFS for a 5k extension to 35k in total. Any guesses?

Was £291

Quote = £749 per month!

(Additional mileage is 12.9p so I think thats slightly preferable)

Any one else had mad quotes in this regard?

Yep went through something a bit similar when trying to extend for another year. Had quotes around the same monthly, then over a grand, then back down, then under my current monthly. Mad!

Anyone still got their S5? Or have your leases ended? If so are you missing the S5? What have you replaced it with?

Be interesting to know!

S4 returned, replaced with a Volvo S90 T4 Momentum.
Brings back childhood memories

a) my dad used to have volvos.
b) the suspension reminds me of my old space hopper

So it's a bit of a challenge not being in a German petrol car...
