Almost comical now that car isn't it!
Have you got your M4 yet?
It's the mythical blue with red leather Sportback.Have you got your M4 yet?
Often spoken of, but never seen in the wild.
I'm picking up the M4 on Friday, Nick. Paperwork and insurance sorted out today, so all ready to go.
I might be slightly excited.

And same here, although I had a build date of 6th March. Car spent 2 wks in QC and now 10+ days on route to Essen..
Spoke with FS yesterday and informed them that if my monthly payments increase by more than £10 I will be cancelling the car (I didn't pay a fee).
It's not about the money so much, more the principle. They have said they will chase up and get back to me, so we'll see what happens!

I had a 20th Feb build date and that car is STILL in Germany.
VWFS and Audi UK were adamant that they wouldn't cover the VED, but so was I that I wouldn't cover it either.
It was similar for me; I couldn't get past the feeling of being somewhat shafted for their (Audi's) incompetence.

So fleetsauce price update after VED due to audis incompentance, extra £20.70 each month for 2 years, nice!
Ouch!...are you going to take it on the chin or cancel it?The total increase in VED over 2 years is £750.
Not only are they tucking you up for the VED, they're creaming some more off as well.
I'm pissed off on your behalf mate!
ETA: I'm pretty sure this is the VED situation, unless I missed something: It's moving to 1st yr (£500 + £310) + 2nd yr (£140 + £310) and it's currently 1st yr £300 + 2nd yr £210.

No, its only year 2 onwards the £310 applies, not year 1. So its £440. Some sources online suggest its year 1 too but gov.uk says its subsequent years. Which is even more stupid because it taxes more people who buy second hand than the ("rich") people who buy new and only keep a year or two.
Ah ok.I thought it was £310 each year.
Even more of a con for Simon then.

Just chased Audi Sheffield and mine is also on a boat for delivery to a UK port today..
Apparently there are 3 boats each with 800 cars coming in today. This wont help with the VED issue though, as she also confirmed that a block has indeed been put on registering cars at the UK ports (I assume by Customs & Excise?) as so many were having this done to avoid the hike..
She also confirmed that offloading will be slower than usual due to the volumes and that they are expecting the car to them mid/late next week, with delivery in around 2 weeks time..
Just need to see what Fleetsauce are prepared to do re a contribution to the uplift. If nothing, there will be Nav Blue SB with B&O, Flat wheel, VC, Hill hold, Folding mirrors and priv glass available as a cancelled order pretty shortly!

Given that they and V4B (who I used) are pretty much one and the same business I'd be surprised if they fund it.

I think if you bend over and take it they will charge, those that make a fuss may find the dealer will contribute a significant part, if not all of the cost than loose the order and the volume bonus that comes with it.
HTH
It seems that's not happening so much with these cars, hence me cancelling my order.HTH
As mentioned above a couple of people had ageements in advance regarding the VED changes. pretty much everyone else has been told to like it or lump it.
Perhaps the margins are just not there to absorb the extra costs?

It's a f... joke ! I will wait till end of may if not then I will go for C63.
I don't blame you.In fact I think you should do it, just so that I can feel better about my M4's fuel consumption. Well, unless the C63 happens to be more economical of course...
I didn't expect to be reading this thread and being slightly envious when the S5 guys are talking about their low 20s mpg.

Did you not cancel mate and get an M4?Moods said:
Oh go on... what's your average mpg been?
Worked out at 14 over a full tank.To be fair it's only done 200 miles and I'm sure it will get better.

On the basis of what others have said, would it be worth contacting Audi and asking them to add the virtual cockpit? I reckon that it will be about another £8 a month, £250 divided by 29. I presume this will be possible if the car isn't being built until June.
When I added it to my order, I was too late to have it put through with the quote but the dealer added it anyway and I'd have then paid the £250 upfront when collecting the car (if I hadn't cancelled). Only reason I mention that is in case they say it's too late to add it without redoing the finance.Richmc said:
Quick question....
Is the launch control standard or only with the flat bottomed steering wheel? - I only ask as on the 4 series I have at present, launch control is only possible with the flappy paddles - which I note only come with flat bottomed steering wheel on the s5.
The standard wheel does have paddles. I think it's just not clear on the pics.Is the launch control standard or only with the flat bottomed steering wheel? - I only ask as on the 4 series I have at present, launch control is only possible with the flappy paddles - which I note only come with flat bottomed steering wheel on the s5.

Hi,
My car had a build date to start tomorrow. However it appears ahead of schedule, as it started production this week. It has moved on quite quickly and is not at stage 6 (assembly).
In people's experiences how long did their cars stay in assembly for before moving to quality control?I have been told by the dealer to expect my car in the middle of May.
Stage 7 QC according to previous orders will stay there for the next 9 days My car had a build date to start tomorrow. However it appears ahead of schedule, as it started production this week. It has moved on quite quickly and is not at stage 6 (assembly).

This is my cancelled order. Started building it on 16/2 and it's at the UK port now.

Order status "40" sounds like its been delivered to your dealer , isn't it? It's actually now gone to 70 in the last few hours.
So there we go...
9 weeks from commencing build to arriving at dealer and a total of 25 weeks from the date the order was placed.
