Definitely louder And it must be to do with the bedding in process. I also feel the car is quicker? Am I going mad? I feel the engine has 'opened up' since putting some miles on it
On a side note I am disappointed with the steering feedback. Feels quite dull, other than that I have no complaints.
Anyone else considering the TDI tuning box? Also would a resonator delete be a good reversible mod? I want more pops and bangs ??
A resonator delete would deffo make the car louder, but I don't think it is a good idea if the car is leased. Not sure how you would do that with the S5 exhaust system anyway. On a side note I am disappointed with the steering feedback. Feels quite dull, other than that I have no complaints.

Do we only have Audi connect on a 3 month trial? I was messing about configuring an S4 the other day and noticed that Audi Connect 36 months was a 'free' option that had been selected by default. So I was wondering if all S models come with 36 months as standard...
Yes, 36 months as standard on all S5's.Polishdominator said:
That's not good is it. The problem seems to affect coupes more than sportbacks particularly with the seat belt feeder. The door glass issue I haven’t had an issue with, but I know there have been some posts about it on the PH lease thread. Trouble is software is never 100% and therefore needs bug fixes the same as a PC does, but the danger being it can make matters worse or can even brick the car as in this chaps case. Garages are mechanics not software programmers therefore when this sort of thing happens it’s a nightmare to fix. Sadly the chap is now the ‘test bed’ for the software fix and any future S5 MMI upgrades, and IMO has been treated pretty badly by his dealer. Worth noting though and mentioning to the dealer when in for a service or repair.Mrjww88 said:
Lovely colour buddy! Is there aby reason we are not seeing more S5's on the road. Not that I am complaining its nice to have something uncommon. Just wondered as I have only see one other S5 and to be honest not seen many new A5 models either.
Never has been many S5's about unlike M3's. A5's are quite common though where I live.audia530tdi said:
Ok. So I've had my S5 sportback for almost a week now and already the car had developed 3 faults.
1. Red light coming on telling me that water cooler level is to low, even though it actually isnt.
2. Start/stop malfunction.
3. Yellow alternator warning light coming on and staying on.
Had Audi roadside assistance take a look at the water cooler issue (the other 2 issues came up later) and he said look like an issue with either the sensor or wiring.
Will need to take to Audi next week to take a look. Frustrating because having waited 5 months for the car, this is the last thing i needed.
Having one fault is annoying let alone three! Touch wood no problems with mine yet. Hope you get this sorted with no further issues.1. Red light coming on telling me that water cooler level is to low, even though it actually isnt.

i'm a year into my lease, 7400 miles done and car says it needs an oil change, and a service is due around 11000 miles, today i just went into settings and cancelled the oil change message, i figured it would wait until the service, is that ok with the terms of the lease?
So the car is asking for oil at 7400 miles, and then it wants an inpection in 11000 miles (as its 19000 that it needs inspection normally)? You must either drive it like its nicked, do a lot of town driving or something is wrong. Mine needed oil at 15000 miles, I got the inpection done at the same time.

Blimey, I've done just shy of 10k miles and put about a 2/3 ltr of oil in it from new (now at correct level). Due first inspection soon, but no warnings or reminders as yet. Also, I have been using a TDI box from new as well. Car is currently, and has always run perfectly.....never a fault, glitch, nothing.
Why would it be due an inspection? Inspection is fixed (when on long life) at 2 years/19000 miles. The oil is the one that varies. My B8 S4 used to drink oil but the S5 has been good so far. It was about ready for some (but wasnt asking) when the service was needed.

So I accelerated hard from lights on a dual carriage way roundabout a couple of days ago and got a transmission fault, contact workshop immediately. Didn’t go into limp mode like it did with my radiator Ecu broke. So I got home switched it off and then turned it back on to take a photo of fault msg and now it’s gone.
Anyone else have this problem. Will this fault be in my ecu logs?
I've had this in the past once or maybe twice. Like you say, turn off and back on and it disappeared so I never called it into Audi. Done another 3-4k miles since it happened and no issues...Anyone else have this problem. Will this fault be in my ecu logs?
Does your car have a tuning box installed or anything?
