Phew glad it's not just me. Like you say, seems slight unreliable, but a cool idea.

Got the mmi setup to my phone, but it seems to be out of sync every now and then leaving me worried as it says the cars unlocked!!!

I've defo locked it, then walked away from the car far enough to see it, but out of range, and run mmi, tested it unlocked and then locked the car. Then while Mrs is shopping and I'm stood waiting around, I checked the status on it and it says unlocked!!

Slightly worrying!

I refresh and it says it's last updated 'now' so I would hope it's correct, but it shows car as unlocked and the car finder at a road I was on earlier today.

Bit crap unless I'm missing something?!
You are ahead of me I haven't even managed to sort my MMI app out properly, the app says I am not authorised or something to lock / unlock and google earth doesn't work for me. Is there something I need to do?
In terms of driving I have done 900 miles now and am very happy with the car, putting it in dynamic mode is not going to get old any time soon!

I put the key code in when I collected it, but the app didn't show any info until the evening, every time I checked it, it said it couldn't display data then just started working... Bit ste really.

Just have mine a quick wash and a very quick wax in between rain showers!

Also unplugged the exhaust plug things on both sides. Did a highly scientific test by using a sound metre on my phone before and after.

Readings fluctuated between 76 and 78 both before and after, so not sure it's made a difference, or if it's just placebo. Sounds good regardless smile

What quotes have you all had for tinting your S4's?

Friends who recently had their windows tinted paid between £150-250 depending on the size of the car and location.

It can be. VAG are really bad at gathering cars up sometimes but a lot of it boils down to the dealer calling for it as far as I am aware.

Mine is showing the same status as you and I collected mine last week!

Take the tracker with a pinch of salt. I just contacted the dealer directly, and they confirmed a week in advance when the car was due in and proposed collection date.

Have a look on the a4/s4 Audi sport forum, there is a thread on there.

For info it does seem louder at low speed now so I'm pleased with it smile

Ollie or anyone else; what tyres did you get on your s4

I got the Bridgestone Potenza s001, which seem to be quite heavily critisised over in the Golf GTi thread.

I had them on my Golf R when it came. Had a pair of Michelin PS4s put on the front when they died and were far far better. My S5 has Hankooks on which are OK but I will be going back to PS4s when I have to swap if I have plenty of time left in the car.

A very expesnive option of £350 iirc.

I will be getting tints too for half of what Audi charge and then have them removed before I return the vehicle.

I was offered gap insurance for £300 by one of th elease companies partners. I haven't gone for it just yet but I believe it's a good price - interested to know what the PH offer for gap insurance is if you can point me in the right direction.
https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=255&t=1660600

I get £153 for 15k cover and 2k initial payment cover. My lease is a two year one.
brilliant - saved me over £100 compared to going direct with the lease company's offering.

Had the car a week today and I absolutely love it. I'm coming from a 130odd bhp Honda CRZ so the power and torque increase feels immense.

Somehow managed 400miles in it already and my god is it thirsty! I think some effieciency driving is needed this week.

Will get some pictures uploaded soon but its a a lot of car for the amount we are paying.

Go to totallossgap and ALA. get quotes, then get ALA to beat it (as they beat better quotes by 20% of the difference. I got my S5 gap insured for £108 with £2k initial payment cover.

Saw my first B9 S4 parked almost next to my B8 in Leominster yesterday. Dark grey (darker than Daytona) with red seats. Anyone on here?
