Hi all,

Quick update. I have had my car for about 2 months and it is already booked in for its first glitch which will need part of the car stripping back. frown
The rear passenger window has stopped working, luckly it is closed but annoying I will be without my car for a few days in September.

Will update when I know more

Thanks for the replies.

I've been offered a 15.5% saving on a heavily spec'd (9.5k) car.

A base car has been offered at 16%.

Decent discounts however I've noticed the GFV increase by just £200 for a car with £9.5k options therefore it's very very expensive per month to add options to these.

Doing some maths I have £3.5k of options to play with to hit budget.

Adding...
Ibis white
comfort & sound pack
light & vision pack
19" wheel (£550)
black pack
privacy glass

Get's to a few hundred pounds over budget, ideally I would like to add the adaptive suspension at £900 also.

Anything not worth having above ?

Is it worth the £600 odd for the white when you can have flat white included? If going white I do think it needs black pack and privacy. If it was me I wouldn't be going white but thats personal preference. I'd either go flat black and get rid of the black pack too and save about a grand or go for an option colour that works without the black pack such as nav blue or one of the reds. Would also potentially allow for getting rid of the privacy glass. Again, I think the optional wheels are nicer but are they £550 nice? Its not like they come with them awful 18"s as standard anymore.

If you could PM me the full details of your deal that would be great. Looking for a S4 at the moment, and would be ready to take yours over if the figures suit.
Hey, unable to send you a PM.

I'm not a fan of white, but have seen a 'custom' B9 S4 in white with all the chromed parts in gloss black, carvo wheels in gloss black rather than grey, gloss black rear diffuser, carbon fibre rear spoiler, rear tints, and with magma red seats.....have to say it looked pretty awesome. White with chrome just looks too average IMO.

Yes I don't like white with chrome, if I was going white I would definitely want black pack, but would probably prefer to save the black pack money and get a different colour!

I would have said the same, but it did look great and changed my perception somewhat. I would imagine though that it cost a fair bit as it looked 'factory done' and not aftermarket. I keep looking at other S4/5 colours/trim and wonder if I chose mine right.....I really need to stop it!!!!

I still regret not getting mine in misano red! I was just too late to change it. On the other hand it would have meant I would have got matrix LEDs too (as I was adding those at the same time) and I aren't sure I wouldn't have regretted that but winter is when they would be most useful.

Hindsight is a great thing, I wish I had added the storage pack, I didn't read the config properly and ignored it.

Ibis white is a £0 option, hence why I plugged for it although I'm not adverse to brilliant black at £0.

Not a fan of chrome on the S model cars and would need to physically see chrome/non chrome against a few colours.

Wheels I think make a car and yes you're right they aren't terrible wheels as standard but I think at an extra £550 the wheels make a huge difference.

Still haven't managed to cheapen it, sounds like I'll need to stump up if I want this look/spec.

Aaah sorry I thought ibis was the pay one but thats glacier my bad!

£550 is 5% of the cost of the car though so its not to be taken lightly. But I agree they do look better, especially with the black pack.

I was worried about the chrome on white, but as I don't like black and didn't want to add more extras, I chanced it and I'm very pleased with it smile

S4 deals about to be pulled as Audi will not be able to fulfill orders in 2017 and unlikely the funding will be carried over into 2018. If anyone's interested in the S4 Avant I just cancelled let me know.

I ordered my S4 at start of Aug - current build week is currently sitting at wk 50. Dealer said they are expecting an update from Audi this week and that date should come forward - fingers crossed!!

I'm in the same boat as you with build week 50, so I'm hoping it comes forward a few weeks and I can get the car before Christmas.

Yes, before Christmas would be great! originally my build week was wk41 when I first ordered and then it moved back!! I'll report back and updates I hear from the dealer later this week...

On another note, has anyone got the matrix headlights - are they any good / worth the extra money? thinking of adding them to my order..

I've got them in the Light and Vision pack as I also wanted the virtual cockpit. From what I've seen on demonstrations and heard from other people they are really worth it. Some good videos on youtube showing how they work.

Thanks, definitely like the sound of them - will check out the videos too on YT.

I've ordered virtual cockpit but hadn't seen the light and vision pack and that VC was included so seems like a better package to get them both together... will check if I can still change my order though

It's landed!
It has been washed ( driven delivery 110 miles, on wet roads) and I washed it and started waxing it, but I think the wax has gone off as it took me half an hour to buff it off the roof ( I am not the karate kid it appears hehe )
I feel I am going to need to spend at least a week on the techy stuff, but I have managed to lock and unlock it remotely using the app.
Does it track your mielage, journeys etc?

Still no news yet on my revised build dates for the S4!
In the meantime however I've now been told I can't have the rear roll up blinds as they're being discontinued on all A4 variants!
Not end of the world as have speccd privacy glass bit still a bit annoying.

With all the delays though and now this I'm a bit torn now whether to stick it out and wait for the S4 which in all reality won't be here until at least end of the year best case or start looking for something else.

Didn't really look at any other makes/models as had the S4 in mind for a while so haven't got an immediate fall back.

I know the S4 will be amazing if I hold out but it's a long time to wait especially when was originally expecting it in Oct.

What other cars did people consider before opting for the S4? - need something comparable in size as have a couple of kids, and ideally with decent performance wink
