Use ALA - you get Pistonhead discount of 12% if you use PISTON12 as the discount code. thumbup

Came to about £130 including deposit protection off the top of my head:

For those awaiting delivery or not in the know, I have noticed that the fuel economy in dynamic is better than eco mode as long as you have the gearbox in D rather than sport. I can get 38mpg driving with the cruise set at 60mph.
I have found with my S5 it is similar in Eco or Dynamic as long as youre in D as you say. The Eco would be more efficient IMO if driving like you should have a 2.0TDI rather than an S5, but I get high 30s (best ever is 41.5 over a 100 mile journey) on a regular basis in Dynamic on runs. Eco holds it in gear too much for my liking which I think means using more fuel accelerating over a longer time or having to put foot further down compared to Dynamic having it in the right gear for positive progress. My long term average is now 30.1 (18000 miles)

The S4 has now landed at the dealers, now I need to get a delivery date sorted and send the Golf back early (Lease ends in December)

The annoying thing is I've just had to put 2 new tyres on and service it.

Can anyone help with producing some strong man maths to justify the early return the missus?

Can't you delay the S4 and keep the Golf a wee bit longer?

If it were me, no. Service intervals are long anyway.

Waiting for S4 reminds me of this...

re man maths: Cost of terminating lease early is a lot cheaper than divorce. Does that help??

Can't tell without knowing mileage and # of months up-front.

If it's 12+23 on 5K miles a year, then no.
If it's 1+23 on 20K a year, bite their hand off.

I’ve also pondered this, I’m on 3+23 and 10k a year... not sure how the service intervals work and who decides them! A novice at best on this.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

I'm leasing through VWFS and paying 15 a month for service and tyres. I'm only contracted to do 5k miles a year but covers bases should I need it.

Mine arrived 3 months sooner than expected! Decided to terminate my VW 2 months early which costed me 55% of remaining balance. VW finance confirms I still drive it while BCA arrange for inspection and then pickup as long as i have insurance.

Was quoted by audi £30.96+vat for maintenance and tyres on a 10k 2yr deal. Decided not to take it....not sure still whether thats the right decision.

S4 now being delivered next weds :-). Did everyone elses had theirs driven to you or on back of a trailer?

I collected mine from the dealer yesterday, was offered tea/coffee, and then the grand reveal when they take the cloth off the car... awesome!

Car has blown me away, what a fantastic bit of kit! Makes my 208 GTI seem like a toy.

Servicing is 9,000 miles on the S4 and will need tyres so not as bad value as you think?

Oh really? Not on long life service like most vag cars then?

Paperwork already signed.... will email audi to see if the option is still available.
