All,
Firstly, I am an idiot.
Slow puncture this morning, topped it up and drove to Euromaster.
Got there opened the boot, loosened spare wheel, no locking wheel nut or tool kit. Looked in pockets either side, nothing. Looking in glovebox and under seats, nothing.
For anyone interested, if you slide the cover shelf out fully, i.e. take it out completely, the tool kit is at the back. I know I am an idiot but having had Audi's previously, I have always known the kit to be under the spare wheel.
Lesson learned!
That shelf hinges up at the back so no need to take it out!!....on a SB anyway.Firstly, I am an idiot.

Ha
I had a slow puncture a couple of weeks ago, and had the same panicked rustle around the car with the tyre fitter guy giving me the "not again" look.
Fortunately I had spent a bit of time fiddling with every part of the car when I got it back in April and a sudden light-bulb moment stopped my face from getting any redder.

It will be generic faults like possible sensor failures, as the engine is actually running more fuel/advance/boost than the ECU realizes, and as it compares those inputs vs the actual "outputs" (i.e speed/acceleration/emissions/knock) it will reach a point where it thinks something must be broken.
If your car is pinking under certain conditions that likely would trigger fault codes too. You won't see them on the dash but they're stored by the ECU.
Fair point, although safe to say that I regularly check my fault codes and nothing has shown with mine so far (have now done 4.5k with it installed). If your car is pinking under certain conditions that likely would trigger fault codes too. You won't see them on the dash but they're stored by the ECU.

What's the best tool to plug into ODB port to detect an clear these sort of errors?
Cheers,
To clear errors you just need a very basic ODB reader for an Audi. Having said that, pay a little more and you can get much more functionality like this one: http://www.gendan.co.uk/product_FXNT500.html whatever you choose make sure it is compatible for Audi 2017/18 models.Cheers,

Definitely an improvement, think I'll try unplugging the valves as a first step this week. https://youtu.be/BYTHP4E61b4

Might be better to not to thrash it round a 30mph residential area when testing it out.

Yes does sound better, still quite subtle though. BTW as above, lucky the driver never got a speeding ticket!Might be better to not to thrash it round a 30mph residential area when testing it out.
Here's a new trick for the S5........................
I have an Amazon Alexa Echo at home which works very well for streaming music, weather updates, and usual questions etc.
So I had this bright idea of using an Amazon Echo Dot in the car as it has a 3.5 output jack, USB power, and is quite small.
Connected the Echo Dot to the 12v USB for power, then connected it to the car WiFi (I have a 3 unlimited data SIM in the MMI) using my iPhone. Then I connected a 3.5 jack from the Dot to the aux input, and hey presto!! I now have full Alexa voice functionality whilst driving, and voice access to all Spoyify's millions of songs by just asking to play a song. Sound is excellent quality too.
All is hidden in the armrest storage area out of sight, and takes up little room.
Best bit is it only cost £49.00!
