Ah ok maybe I will ask Three to give me an extra SIM card then as I have a mobile contract with them already.

Good idea. Tried without an MMI SIM and it does not work as it needs an independent WiFi connection outside of the phone.

Sportback owners - does your passenger seatbelt knock against the side of the front seat when not being used? 3 days in and it's really irritating!

You can't have two SIMs tied to the same mobile number, so a second SIM would typically be a PAYG one, unless you fancy another contract...

B8's have no built-in SIM, so I use a giffgaff PAYG SIM for Audi Connect (eg Weather/Google Earth). Very light use, so just a £10 top up a few times a year. Don't think I've ever even bothered to enable the car wifi... Most modern phones work as wifi hotspots anyway, so I'm not sure of the value.

I think most SB people have this issue. A solution is to use one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/1423210-Car-Seat-Belt-Adj... then cut a strip of Velcro, stick on side to the clip, and the other to the pillar to fasten it, and slide the belt into it when not used.

Following a 67 plate S5 SB today. They've now got a high level brake light across the top of the back window. When did they add that?

Any tips on how to keep the exhaust tips nice and shiny?

Don't start the engine!!..............no, seriously they are a pain with the black soot. Best thing I have found I to use is scratch remover in a tube and rub around the tips with a soft cloth.

Likewise. How is the high level light on yours? It will have to have one.

I do, I was replying to you and Frankstar and that was meant for him. I.e. his car will have one, what does it look like if it's not the strip in the top of the window? A7s are like it too.

I am having trouble with the Internetty things that the car does. When I first got the car I managed to get the Car registered in My Audi, The car showing up in the Audi Connect App, and the car communicates with the app accept simple things like locking and unlocking.
I have never had google maps working, or been able to send a map or destination to the car though, and when I try to activate google maps it has always said "Failed to connect to Audi Connect Server"
Any Ideas?
When on the Map view on the centre screen of the car it says TMC in the bottom right corner,

Has anyone had issues with their alarm going off randomly? Mine has just went off at least 6 times in the past hour and has done so previously when sitting in the drive with nothing near it. All doors have been opened and closed and it’s now stopped. I think I might disable the motion sensor to see if that helps.

The Audi connect app is also showing the windows as open but they are all closed?

Ok so my car does have high level brake light biggrin

I was expecting to so it reflect into / onto my boot, so i thought i should be able to see the brake lights. I had to get my son to press the brakes with ignition on and i was behind the car laugh

My car did decide yesterday to not allow me to turn the volume up past 10% or so. It kept prompting "Unavailable" when trying to adjust volume. It only resolved itself after leaving the ignition off overnight; leaving it for an hour or so didnt fix it laugh

On another note, an Audi S5 SB is way slower than Tesla biggrin i got well and truly humped by a Model S P75 last night biggrin (I knew i would but wasnt expecting to be so far away....) need a chip...

Has anyone made any changes via VCDS? I'm just wondering what's possible. I know someone mentioned (on this thread or the other S5 thread) about enabling Lane Assist through it?
Yes I have had lane assist enabled great on the motorway not great on normal roads
