The Golf GTI lease thread

The offer actually seems to be £245 as cost of fog lights plus a further £250 as goodwill gesture. Some are maybe getting more than the £250 as VW don't want a load of rejected cars that then need to be punted out to the cheap lease market.
Shouldn't really affect cars ordered a few weeks ago as builds seem to have been corrected now so it's really just cars arriving now or pretty soon.
I'm in that camp, my dealer has confirmed that my GTI currently built and in transit is missing front fog lights. They've offered me the £245 + £250 refund, or to reject and re-order. Once it has been received and PDI'd the dealer is going to invite me in to look over it and see if I'm happy without front fog lights.Shouldn't really affect cars ordered a few weeks ago as builds seem to have been corrected now so it's really just cars arriving now or pretty soon.
Half of me is saying what is the point of front fog lights, I can count on one hand the number of times in nearly 20 years of driving that I've benefited from their use and since I've ordered Dynamic Light Assist there's probably even less need for them. The worry is that when I come to sell the car potential buyers are going to spot the lack of a standard fit item and go elsewhere.
The other half of me is saying reject, but leaving me without a car (as soon as mine sells) for however long it takes the reorder to arrive - I'm on 8 weeks currently and expecting the new car to arrive any day now. The official lead time is 12 weeks from order.
If VW offer more in goodwill then I'll accept, and if they offer a loan car until a re-order arrives then I'll do that, but as it is neither solution is acceptable. I should add that this is not a lease order.
Anybody have a list of what the vw golf gti performance pack includes? Reading mixed things about the sweeping indicators and sat nav on the virtual dash between the steering wheel coming with the performance pack?
My build weeks confirmed for 22.05 but when i ordered said i want it september on a 67 plate so once its in the coutry assume they will just store it. Is there a chance this could move back?

Not sure if anyone else is aware of this, however on the golfgti forum there is lots of talk around cars arriving without front fogs, a vw bulletin stating that this is basically a balls up by vw uk, later cars will have the front fogs and dealers offering the cost of front fogs (circa £250) as a good will gesture.
Just thought I'd make everyone aware of this.. perhaps someone knows more?

The nav on virtual dash only comes with the nav upgrade.
That's not entirely true, the 'normal' Discover Navigation can be shown on the Active Info Display, but not at the same time as on the main unit. The Discover Navigation Pro allows it to be shown on both units at the same time.Srl24 said:
Anyone got any decent photos of the facelift not including red. Deep black 5dr preferably with standard wheels
Another deep black MK7.5 GTI on autotrader at the moment too:

Not as good as the deals of a month or so ago, but not double. We've got a red 5dr on order on a 3+23 at £229.44, which equates to £5965, that was pretty competitive at the time. The deal above is £6693, albeit with a miserly 5k p.a. mileage limit.
The monthly payments after the deposit (2330) are almost exactly double what I am payingGassing Station | Audi, Seat, Skoda & VW | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
