Not as good as the deals of a month or so ago, but not double. We've got a red 5dr on order on a 3+23 at £229.44, which equates to £5965, that was pretty competitive at the time. The deal above is £6693, albeit with a miserly 5k p.a. mileage limit.
The monthly payments after the deposit (2330) are almost exactly double what I am paying
So all your payments/initial/fees added together are only around £4500? Who was that with? I'm not aware of anyone who managed to get it lower than around £5800 total.

Just under 4600 with CVL
Just for correctness - It's only my monthlies which are half, not the total payment over the term - that would be nice!

That's exceptional, well over £1000 cheaper than anyone else on this thread managed to get.

It seems to be.

Many, many got that deal in Q4 last year.

For a mk7, rather than mk7.5 then? Still very cheap motoring.

That is correct. It was delivered last year and comes with very good spec as standard: keyless entry/go, nav, heated seats, adaptive cruise and lots more.

Don't know what I am missing from the 7.5? Is the power up some more?

It's the same power as the mk7 with performance pack, also gets an Audi style virtual cockpit. Mind you, I'd be happy with a mk7 at your price!

I've just ordered a mk7.5 GTI 5dr manual in black rubin. Got an expected date of end June/early July but nothing to actually track the build. Is it worth asking, or does the lack of information only make the wait more agonising?

Just be patient - I don't think you can change the date by calling/emailing but others may tell you differently.

Any decent GTI deals floating around or have they all dried up until next quarter?

Whats the deal you manage to secure?

Id rather not say! I found what I felt was currently a good deal (admittedly nowhere near as attractive as those in April). Unfortunately due to my deliberation, by the time I phoned up I was told there was no remaining stock for the manual, only DSG. I declined and was told not to bother wasting my time phoning around as other agents would only have access to the same pool of available cars.

I thought about it for a couple hours feeling regretful, then hurriedly phoned up the next suitably priced agent before close of business yesterday, who told me they could get one at the end of June. And now I wait!!

So, I'd rather not say because i'd rather not be told where I could have saved money!!!

Fair enough! You'll hopefully have a GTI to smoke about, winner!

Interestingly I've just been told on live chat that my car is currently being built. This is after being told at the start of week the scheduled build week was week 23. Tracker still shows 'with the factory'. I'm assured this should update in a couple of days.

Been told week 23, 31 and now back to 25. It could go anywhere from here... I won't trust it until the build date is confirmed.

Those with build dates in May, did you go for manual or DSG? Wondering why the such big difference in build dates (May vs Mid/late August) when I'm guessing most of these GTIs were agreed around the same time, give or take a couple of days.

Did anyone change the spec of their car after order? I wanted to add reverse camera but my dealer said any change would push it back and would probably cancel the finance, ergo I would lose the deal... (build date still unconfirmed)
