Come on, I am positive I am not the only one who has been treated quite well by VW due to the DSG delay?

Yes can someone please spill the beans?

Also, are we referring to vw uk customer service or dealer here?

I ordered mid April and every time i speak to live chat the build date changes, currently w/c 31st july and all they say is i should of been quoted 18-20 weeks for delivery.

My order date is 3rd april though i didn't get my SLi until 20th april with an estimated delivery date of 10-12 weeks. So I'm either in week 9 or 6 of waiting depending on what date you go off.
I'm sure central said they had to be delivered in June, no chance of that as it stands so any info on vw offering some kind of goodwill would be highly appreciated.

Mine's also a DSG and I've heard nothing.

Sorry for the delay in responding, been away all weekend.

VW have arranged for me to have a complimentary hire car between June and delivery since they weren't able to deliver to their original estimated lead times.

Me also. I was given a phone call by VW on Thursday morning and by 3pm had a GTI delivered to my door.

Our order was placed 4th April.

I spoke with VW customer Services (0800 333666) and was advised to liaise with my dealer for some 'good will'. Our build has been pushed back further - 25th August with delivery late September.

Our Main Dealer has had notification from VW UK to offer us a courtesy car...... and they understand that this has been rolled out to all customers with delayed deliveries.

Best for you to speak with your dealer (assuming you went direct and not through a broker)

Hope this helps you all

Ordered mine at the start of April when that great offer was on. Nothing on my VW tracker since the start so i got onto VW chat this morning.

Indium Grey DSG GTI, been confirmed for build week 26 (26th June). Build could take up to 2 weeks and then 4 weeks from this point for delivery. VW said to expect it around mid/late August. Expected delivery was late June when i ordered the car.

Worth getting onto the dealer for some 'good will'?

Like others, we've also been lent a car. Unfortunately however, they weren't able to source a gti so we currently have a toureg on loan. It is starting to make us wonder whether the golf is big enough.....

My GTI isn't due to be built late August for a September / October delivery. I have found my hired GTI to be surprisingly big.

Interestingly the hire contract only said 7 days... I assume (hope?) VW will be renewing the hire on a weekly basis.

Nah their goodwill gesture is that you get a taste of greatness then they take it away from you.
