Main dealer.
Hire car was delivered and left without me being home!?!?!
It's a dented wreck and no damage whatsoever is reported on the forms they've left.
Oh yeah .... it's a Kia Cee'd Estate ........
We were told that a Golf was reserved.
Not impressed and it's going back !!
Is that from Sinclair VW in Splott? I had rubbish service there from warranty dept a few months back, hence why i went through a broker. My experience with them was almost enough to put me off VW altogether TBH.Hire car was delivered and left without me being home!?!?!

Good luck and giv'um hell!
So now we have been furnished with a Golf GTI DSG on hire until we get ours in September.
Unescessary hassle was that!
For any of you who have their tracker showing as in transit, the "City of Paris" has been berthed at Grimsby River Terminal delivering a load of Vag cars from Emden. (I can see it from my office window) and is on it's way back to Emden.
You can track them on Marinetraffic website for free.
Also the "Weser Highway" is sat at Immingham having come from Emden.

Update for those interested. Build week 26 Confirmed for me. Apparently is up to 2 weeks to build the car, and then 4-6 weeks for delivery so VW have said i should get the car mid August (Was initially end of June).
Got onto the dealer who filled out a delayed order form for me. VW then got back to me a few days later and provided me with a 65 Plate 2.0 TDI Scirocco delivered to my door which is on hire until my Golf arrives.
Great customer service if you asked me. I also purchased the car from NVS but contacted the dealer (Should find the dealer on your VW tracker) who then sorted it out for me.

Might be interested with this if it's transferable!
seems my order has been cancelled now, unfortunately.I'm disgusted with the service I received.
I ordered a Golf GTI just like everyone else yet somehow, due to using a broker I wasn't eligible.
Shame really as I was a big VW fan, It was going to be my 4th VW, though not any more, i know VW wont care one bit but i will never own another VW again. I also wont use the specific broker ever again either.

Does the dealer supply this loan car? If so presumably they are compensated by VW Got onto the dealer who filled out a delayed order form for me. VW then got back to me a few days later and provided me with a 65 Plate 2.0 TDI Scirocco delivered to my door which is on hire until my Golf arrives.

Is the Sirocco billed to you on the same payments basis as the Golf? If so not bad business sense for VW as they will have some registrations and some low mileage, nearly new cars to sell when your Golf comes too.
If they don't bill you, well you've won a watch!
The replacement cars are complimentary, well mine is anyway! If they don't bill you, well you've won a watch!

Any updates on the latest deals available?
I have a quote from a broker of £326/month on a 6+23. 8000 miles (inc VAT) on a GTi DSG 3dr in Pure White with 19" Brescia alloys. Full maintenance is just £9 more which seems cheap.
Keen to close a deal to ensure I get a car late September.
I'm after a Golf GTI/R DSG as well, I'm just sitting tight and waiting for more VWFS deals. I'm also looking for a car for September or at a push, October.I have a quote from a broker of £326/month on a 6+23. 8000 miles (inc VAT) on a GTi DSG 3dr in Pure White with 19" Brescia alloys. Nope, supplied straight from VW and came from enterprise. Completely complimentary. Just have to fill it with fuel!
Did you speak to VW direct or the dealership arranged this for you? And presumably they insure you for freeReceived a call from VW customer services yesterday advising of the delay and that they were going to deliver a complimentary car for me to use in the meantime. A few hours later a brand new A4 was delivered to my driveway.
Been offered a 5dr DSG with metallic paint for September delivery, guessing it's a cancelled order, 6+23 £251pm VAT inc.
I know people were getting manuals for less than £6k for the 2 year term in April, is this a decent price for a DSG with the met paint?
Don't know whether to jump on it or wait for July deals

My DSG came out to less than 6k. If I had gone for metallic, it would have been around £6300, so your quote is almost a grand more. In fact it's closer to the Golf R Estate deal prices.I know people were getting manuals for less than £6k for the 2 year term in April, is this a decent price for a DSG with the met paint?

Can't say whether you should go for it - there may be better deals on the horizon!

Also these illusive July deals may never happen! If you are happy with the numbers and they work for you, jump on it, if they don't then walk away. Can't say whether you should go for it - there may be better deals on the horizon!
