Got a confirmed build date of week comm 16 Oct for my GTi order which was placed on 1 July. Still having colour dilemmas but will stick with my original choice of Indium Grey.
Who was that with? I ordered 1 Jul with a VW main dealer and my build week was last week and the vehicle is now in transit. No options. Standard white colour.sunniguy said:
The white is an option. Standard colour is Black Rubin aka Purple.
Interesting. I was offered lowest price 'pure white' or 'tornado red' at £239 ex vat on a 1+23 at 8k p/a or the black as an option at an extra tenner. The VW guy said that the Rubin needed to be seen before selected as it wasn't to everyone's taste. A broker I also spoke with said the Rubin was the default colour so maybe it depended on purchase route?

Ordered with a VW main dealer. Went for DSG which might slow down the order, also metallic paint and 19" wheels. johnwilliams77 said:
Hi there, lad. I am not sure, what deals have you found in your research so far?
Well nothing that comes close to the deals that have previously been mentioned earlier in the thread.Golf R for not much change from £10,000 over two years is what I'm finding.
Have you any recommendations for reasonably priced leasing companies? Or is what I'm finding the norm?

I used CVL this time last year and got a GTI for <200pcm, I expect there will be good deals soon.Golf R for not much change from £10,000 over two years is what I'm finding.

What up front payment was that with and for how many miles per year?
Has anyone any idea the cost of fitting a tow bar? I think that may be a better solution to carrying my bikes than a roof rack.
Involves cutting the rear bumper which you really don’t want to do on a lease car. Has anyone any idea the cost of fitting a tow bar? I think that may be a better solution to carrying my bikes than a roof rack.

Failing that it’s the factory fit one at £600!
Picked up my July 3 order today. 1+23 white, 5dr manual, 230bhp.
Am long term owner (mk4, mk5, mk6, mk7) so I can see the evolution. Not opened it up yet but can feel the potential. Other initial thought - as mentioned here previously - is that the Bridgestone tyres are fking noisy! Takes the edge off a bit.
