A gti performance can be had for 26k down from 31 then it’s a case of what options if any and what deposit!
Mine had a rep of 37k I got 7k off it and then I have a 6k deposit to bring it down to 23
Final payment is 11500 and 4yr old golds are going for between 16-17k atm so you should have quite abit of equity towards another car whereas straight leasing you’re throwing money away every time

'Throwing it away?' - no, we get a new car with no hassle and guarantee hassle free way of changing it. You are paying an unknown amount on depreciation when it comes to selling.Mine had a rep of 37k I got 7k off it and then I have a 6k deposit to bring it down to 23

Daughter has just had hers delivered and is very happy, however, IMO the ride is quite hard and i have found various reports on the Bridgestones being the problem (apart from them being inflated to 38psi from the dealer, now reduced to 36 with not much difference tbh).
If she changes them to PS4s or similar, would she have to put the original tyres back on when the car goes back?
I cant see anything specific about tyres in the T&C's.
Ta.

37 - 7 - 6 = 24, not 23 - but anyway, rounding aside...a 3 yr, 12k miles/ year lease on a gti can be had for £12k (about £340/month including the initial payment and broker fees). If you can PCP one cheaper and with less hassle, good luck, but I'm happier with the lease deal.Mine had a rep of 37k I got 7k off it and then I have a 6k deposit to bring it down to 23

Leasing isn't throwing money away, it's just one option for running a car. We could have bought one, or PCP'd, but this time around we'd rather lease than tie up ~30k cash.

There is a comfort option, but check your UK manual, this is from the US!If she changes them to PS4s or similar, would she have to put the original tyres back on when the car goes back?

Otherwise, F1's are going to be the softer option and you can return the car with any make of tyre on it.
If you have time and space, ebay the nearly new bridgestone ones.

No pressures listed in the manual as it just says to check the door pillar for pressures.
No comfort setting though.
My wife’s Mk7.5 GTi needs two front tyres. Has anyone had any issue with returning their car to VW with tyres that a different to Bridgestone Potenzas on it?
Not looking at fitting ditchfinders, but an alternative premium brand.
I’ve look per in the manual and can’t see anything which specifies which tyres are ‘approved’ for the car.

Yeh, you should be fine providing they are premium brand. Remember that when you return the car you are confirming to the BCA guidelines. Not looking at fitting ditchfinders, but an alternative premium brand.
